The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. A collision led to Agro Imortal getting a freekick after 4 minutes play. After 8 minutes of play, C.A.River Plate's Talha Özakan made it 0-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Allan Paes was left in no man's land by his defense there! In the 11th minute, Narciso Bertassi got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. 12 minutes into the match, Agro Imortal's goal looked a bit too open when Talha Özakan came free, but Allan Paes reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Ekhi Arandajo kicked well hit freekick during the 15th minute of the match. When the match clock showed 17 minutes, the score became 0-2 when Talha Özakan sped through Agro Imortal's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Allan Paes. Bortzaioriz Palos hit a great freekick 21 minutes into the match. In the 27th minute Talha Özakan shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Allan Paes saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Luiz Fernando Netto's late challenge caught a C.A.River Plate's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Luiz Fernando Netto helped the player get up and apologised. The supporters of C.A.River Plate booed when Agro Imortal was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 29 match minutes in a wonderful position. Luiz Fernando Netto didn't get a good kick on the ball. Allan Paes didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Talha Özakan went, in the 34th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-3 was the resulting score. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Talha Özakan in the 37th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Allan Paes saved Agro Imortal from getting behind. When Talha Özakan came up free with the goalie in the 42nd minute, the C.A.River Plate fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Talha Özakan couldn't finish the play. After a rather tough play, Agro Imortal's Cacá Valle got a free kick in the 44th minute.

When the match had gone on for 53 minutes, Talha Özakan put it in 0-4 from a short distance just to the right of Allan Paes. Allan Paes took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Perrando Osaviaga, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. When Talha Özakan in the 70th play minute got the chance to kick a hard shot on goal from short distance neither the defense or Allan Paes kept up with the ball and suddenly the score was 0-6 when the ball slipped into goal inside the left pole. Talha Özakan received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 72nd minute. Allan Paes tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Agro Imortal's Bethel Raba got a good chance for a goal in the 76th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 85th minute the ball was on its way in behind Agro Imortal's goalkeeper Allan Paes, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Talha Özakan made a well adjusted shot against goal in the 89thth minute coming free in front of the goal, but Allan Paes would not let the ball come through at any expense and made a nice save by the left post. Bethel Raba received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 95th minute. Pierre-Alexandre von Buol-Schaudenstein tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Talha Özakan had several of the Agro Imortal's defenders around him in the penalty area when he, after 97 minutes of play, received a pass and succeeded in some way to shoot a shot which went straight ahead into goal. This resulted in a 0-8 score and a disappointed Allan Paes as he didn't even see the shot coming.
