Independiente's goal looked a bit too open when Arturo Ranolfo came free, but Ubaldo Fillol reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Rodney Urbina's shot straight on target was not completely harmless. The ball had pretty good speed, but Yao Guang Chao firmly grabbed it by the left post. An unexpectedly hard shot by Arturo Ranolfo in the 20th minute of play forced C. A. Independiente's goalkeeper Ubaldo Fillol to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Ubaldo Fillol showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Arturo Ranolfo, who was totally free with the ball in the 21st minute. Yaji FC's Arturo Ranolfo got a good chance for a goal in the 22nd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. If Arturo Ranolfo had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 32nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. 32 minutes into the match, C. A. Independiente's goal looked a bit too open when Arturo Ranolfo came free, but Ubaldo Fillol reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. C. A. Independiente's Ubaldo Fillol played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Arturo Ranolfo in the 34th minute of play. 37 minutes into the match, C. A. Independiente's goal looked a bit too open when Arturo Ranolfo came free, but Ubaldo Fillol reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After 37 minutes, Damian Kiser mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the C. A. Independiente and the Yaji FC players grew even worse after the yellow card. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Conrad Carrington to strike the kick off in the second half. Arturo Ranolfo in the 56thth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Ubaldo Fillol, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. Arturo Ranolfo might have been able to make a better finish in the 61st minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Ubaldo Fillol. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Arturo Ranolfo ran back to his position shaking his head. Arturo Ranolfo sent away a hard shot on goal in the 63rd minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. In the 65th minute, Yaji FC's Arturo Ranolfo dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 0-1. Ladislao Tximitx might have been able to make a better finish in the 68th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Ubaldo Fillol. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Ladislao Tximitx ran back to his position shaking his head. When the match had gone on for 69 minutes, Ladislao Tximitx put it in 0-2 from a short distance just to the right of Ubaldo Fillol. Yaji FC made a substitution. Hector Herauso replaced Justino Lehoi. Yaji FC's Maximiliano Feliu was substituted for Pascual Pes. Yaji FC's Kryspin Ziemba was substituted for Arturo Ranolfo. The audience thought a goal was coming when Kryspin Ziemba got free with Ubaldo Fillol in the 76th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Ubaldo Fillol showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Ladislao Tximitx in the 79th minute of the match. 94 minutes into the match, C. A. Independiente's goalkeeper Ubaldo Fillol had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Kryspin Ziemba. In the 96th minute, Yaji FC's Ladislao Tximitx ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Ubaldo Fillol. Ubaldo Fillol yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 0-3.
