The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. An unexpectedly hard shot by Richard Fredriksson in the 9th minute of play forced Yala's goalkeeper Zeledon Curcio to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. A collision led to Yala getting a freekick after 11 minutes play. Santiago Feo hit a great ball. Richard Fredriksson sent away a hard shot on goal in the 15th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Yala's Zeledon Curcio played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Richard Fredriksson in the 15th minute of play. A throw-in in the 17th minute of the game was made by Marcial Lore with Alberto Jaunti as target, who quickly passed the ball forward. The audience was convinced that Richard Fredriksson's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Zeledon Curcio was relentless in the 20th minute of the game. In the 22nd minute, Yavuz Acabay reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Toni Schumacher. Zeledon Curcio breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. After 30 minutes of play, FC Bullen's Richard Fredriksson made it 1-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Zeledon Curcio was left in no man's land by his defense there! In the 33rdth minute of the game Richard Fredriksson who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Yala's Zeledon Curcio was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Zeledon Curcio didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Richard Fredriksson went, in the 36th minute, to the upper right corner, 1-2 was the resulting score. Zeledon Curcio made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Richard Fredriksson in the 41st minute of play. Zeledon Curcio took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Richard Fredriksson, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 44th minute, one of Yala:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Yala. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 1-3 lead.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Richard Fredriksson was the one to do the kick off. 52 minutes into the game, Marcial Lore threw the ball into play from the sideline. FC Bullen's Verner Hägert quickly snatched the ball and retained possesion. In the 53rd minute the ball was on its way in behind Yala's goalkeeper Zeledon Curcio, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Yala's defense didn't have a chance, in the 57th minute, when Richard Fredriksson scored to the left of an out of position Zeledon Curcio, making the score, 1-4. Zeledon Curcio didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Richard Fredriksson went, in the 60th minute, to the upper right corner, 1-5 was the resulting score. Zeledon Curcio made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Richard Fredriksson in the 64th minute of play. Richard Fredriksson could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 65th minute of the match, but Zeledon Curcio made a huge save. If Richard Fredriksson had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 67th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Zeledon Curcio showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Richard Fredriksson, who was totally free with the ball in the 67th minute. When the match had gone on for 69 minutes, Richard Fredriksson took a quick shot and it went in 1-6 without a chance for Zeledon Curcio to make any attempt to save it. FC Bullen's Andy Beckman was substituted for Gustavo Lopes. Zeledon Curcio stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Richard Fredriksson's shot from short distance in the 79th minute. Zeledon Curcio didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Richard Fredriksson went, in the 89th minute, to the upper right corner, 1-9 was the resulting score. The crowd rose to their feet as FC Bullen's Richard Fredriksson slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Zeledon Curcio. That made the score 1-10 after 92 minutes of play. In the 95th minute, Amador Merexildo left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The FC Bullen fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-11.
