FC Dalin's Hoàng Tran played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Faustino Cedro in the 10th minute of play. In the 16th minute of the match FC Dalin got a corner. LOS MENTI's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Nguyễn Thanh ran over to the corner to take the kick. 20 minutes into the match, LOS MENTI's goalkeeper Şenol Güneş had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Nguyễn Phuong. The audience thought a goal was coming when Nguyễn Phuong got free with Şenol Güneş in the 31st minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. If Trần Ritchell had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 33rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 37 minutes into the match, FC Dalin's Nguyễn Phuong sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Şenol Güneş narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Nguyễn Phuong could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 39th minute of the match, but Şenol Güneş made a huge save. Phạm Nguyet sent away a hard shot on goal in the 42nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 43 minutes into the game, Simon Oliverios was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. LOS MENTI's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave FC Dalin the free kick. In the 49th minute FC Dalin were awarded a corner. Nguyễn Thanh went to the cornerflag to take it. Nguyễn Phuong was in a good position and managed to take a shot, but he missed just to the outside of the post.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell 汪常然 to make the kick off. 59 minutes into the game, 汪常然 recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Hoàng Tran. 汪常然 showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 1-1. After a rather tough play, LOS MENTI's 汪常然 got a free kick in the 65th minute. In the 67th minute, Marco George reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Hoàng Tran. The goal made the score 1-2. Nguyễn Phuong recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 72nd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After 75 minutes, 汪常然 made it 1-3 with a short kick to the right side. FC Dalin's Hoàng Tran tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. An unexpectedly hard shot by Trần Ritchell in the 78th minute of play forced LOS MENTI's goalkeeper Şenol Güneş to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Phạm Nguyet received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 79th minute. Şenol Güneş tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Võ Hoai's late challenge caught a LOS MENTI's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Võ Hoai helped the player get up and apologised. After 82 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for FC Dalin! After 85 minutes FC Dalin's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was David Gagriel who took care of the corner kick. LOS MENTI's Marco George was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Hoàng Tran in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. Trần Ritchell hit a great freekick 86 minutes into the match. After 88 minutes, Faustino Cedro mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the LOS MENTI and the FC Dalin players grew even worse after the yellow card. Phạm Nguyet blasted a shot towards the goal in the 91st minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Şenol Güneş having to make a save. In the 93rd minute Faustino Cedro shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Hoàng Tran saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Hoàng Tran was out of position in the 94 minute of play, and Marco George capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Marco George really showed his touch with that goal: 1-4. After 98 minutes, Nguyễn Thanh mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the FC Dalin and the LOS MENTI players grew even worse after the yellow card.
