The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. RÖK's Carlos Montenegro played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by 汪常然 in the 10th minute of play. 16 minutes into the match, LOS MENTI's goalkeeper Şenol Güneş had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Tjark Heerdt. Tjark Heerdt could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 27th minute of the match, but Şenol Güneş made a huge save. With a little luck, LOS MENTI's Şenol Güneş got control of the ball when Tjark Heerdt tried to sneak it across the goal line. The audience thought a goal was coming when Tjark Heerdt got free with Şenol Güneş in the 33rd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. 34 minutes had been played when some careless play by LOS MENTI's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Marcinho Brasil was slow to take the kick. During this time RÖK's players had a chance to rest. RÖK's Marcinho Brasil was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Şenol Güneş in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. The referee felt a red card was in order, 38 minutes into the game, when Olavo Palmeira put in a rough tackle. After 37 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for RÖK! Simon Iratze shot the penalty kick right outside the post. LOS MENTI's defense didn't have a chance, in the 44th minute, when Tjark Heerdt scored to the left of an out of position Şenol Güneş, making the score, 2-0. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 2-0 at half-time.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Tjark Heerdt to strike the kick off in the second half. In the 51st minute Tjark Heerdt shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Şenol Güneş saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Tjark Heerdt blasted a shot towards the goal in the 54th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Şenol Güneş having to make a save. Şenol Güneş showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Tjark Heerdt in the 54th minute of the match. Hermengildo Soin helped the player get up and apologised. RÖK's Tjark Heerdt got a good chance for a goal in the 64th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Tjark Heerdt blasted a shot towards the goal in the 74th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Şenol Güneş having to make a save. The crowd rose to their feet as LOS MENTI's Marco George slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Carlos Montenegro. That made the score 3-1 after 94 minutes of play. RÖK's supporters were highly satisfied with the result. They cheered their team of the pitch, having watched them win a very even match.
