The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. In the 6th minute of the match, Leonardo Gaúcho sent away a good long shot that could have become a goal, but Arturo Guib showed an example of his skillful tending and made the save just under the crossbar. Arturo Guib didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Leonardo Gaúcho went, in the 10th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-1 was the resulting score. An unexpectedly hard shot by Leonardo Gaúcho in the 18th minute of play forced La Zabaleta's goalkeeper Arturo Guib to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The supporters of Belotaurus FC booed when La Zabaleta was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 25 match minutes in a wonderful position. Amancio Ekain didn't get a good kick on the ball. After some careless play in the La Zabaleta defense, Leonardo Gaúcho kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Arturo Guib. The La Zabaleta fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Arturo Guib should have stopped the shot. Arturo Guib took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Leonardo Gaúcho, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Fanis Geronimidis made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Amancio Ekain in the 37th minute of play. Fanis Geronimidis came out of the goal in the 39th minute to try and stop a shot by La Zabaleta's Herminio Cresconio. But to his dismay, Herminio Cresconio quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-2. After the first half Belotaurus FC were leading 1-2. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Leonardo Gaúcho to make the kick off. With a little luck, La Zabaleta's Arturo Guib got control of the ball when Leonardo Gaúcho tried to sneak it across the goal line. After 55 played minutes La Zabaleta got a freekick which was hit by Fazıl Hüsnü Şahin. 57 minutes into the match, Belotaurus FC's Leonardo Gaúcho sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Arturo Guib narrowly saved just below the crossbar. 58 minutes into the game, Urbano Balasi threw the ball into play from the sideline. Belotaurus FC's Joel Vianna quickly snatched the ball and retained possesion. 60 minutes into the match, La Zabaleta's goal looked a bit too open when Leonardo Gaúcho came free, but Arturo Guib reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. La Zabaleta's Amancio Ekain got a good chance for a goal in the 62nd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. After some fancy dribbling in the 64th minute, Teodosio Lop managed to get in a good position for a shot. La Zabaleta's supporters rose to their feet, but Teodosio Lop was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Fanis Geronimidis breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. An unexpectedly hard shot by Evren Yezid in the 68th minute of play forced La Zabaleta's goalkeeper Arturo Guib to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 71 minutes into the match, La Zabaleta's goalkeeper Arturo Guib had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Leonardo Gaúcho. A collision led to Belotaurus FC getting a freekick after 73 minutes play. Kléberson Bertassi hit a great ball. Teodosio Lop's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Fanis Geronimidis read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 77th minute of play. In the 78th minute Teodosio Lop shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Fanis Geronimidis saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Arturo Guib made a fantastic save in the 82nd minute, when Leonardo Gaúcho sent off a good shot on target. After taking down the ball on Belotaurus FC's corner Angelo Urre fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Arturo Guib quite easily take care of the ball. In the 85th minute, Belotaurus FC's Leonardo Gaúcho ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Arturo Guib. Arturo Guib yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 1-3. Arturo Guib was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Erivaldo Perez showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 1-4 in the 88 minute of play. In the 95th minute Teodosio Lop shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Fanis Geronimidis saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. When the match was over Belotaurus FC could go home with a victory in their luggage, having controlled the game far better than La Zabaleta throughout the match.
