With an all-out effort, MACUMBA's Célio Paraíba threw himself towards the right post 5 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Josué Quintal, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. 7 minutes into the match, MACUMBA's goal looked a bit too open when Gilvan Veloso came free, but Manga Santos reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Célio Paraíba showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Josué Quintal in the 9th minute of the match. Chico Simões received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 12th minute. Manga Santos tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. MACUMBA's Manga Santos played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Marcinho Donatello in the 13th minute of play. The supporters of SNIPER booed when MACUMBA was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 15 match minutes in a wonderful position. Leonides Kaiet didn't get a good kick on the ball. Manga Santos came out of the goal in the 19th minute to try and stop a shot by SNIPER's Chico Simões. But to his dismay, Chico Simões quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-1. After 26 minutes SNIPER's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Mazinho Correia who took care of the corner kick. The corner ended in Mazinho Correia almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but SNIPER's Célio Paraíba did a great save. 33 minutes into the match, SNIPER's goal looked a bit too open when Josué Quintal came free, but Célio Paraíba reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Célio Paraíba showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Josué Quintal, who was totally free with the ball in the 35th minute. The audience thought a goal was coming when Josué Quintal got free with Célio Paraíba in the 37th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. An unexpectedly hard shot by Josué Quintal in the 41st minute of play forced SNIPER's goalkeeper Célio Paraíba to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After some fancy dribbling in the 46th minute, Josué Quintal managed to get in a good position for a shot. MACUMBA's supporters rose to their feet, but Josué Quintal was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Célio Paraíba breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

The wind increased when Gilvan Veloso made the kick off in the second half. Josué Quintal recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 53rd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Manga Santos made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Júlio Valle in the 56th minute of play. In the 58th match minute, MACUMBA was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Bedri Berat to maneuver through the defense. Gilvan Veloso received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 61st minute. Manga Santos tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After 62 minutes, Vito Tande mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the SNIPER and the MACUMBA players grew even worse after the yellow card. After a rather tough play, SNIPER's Vito Tande got a free kick in the 62nd minute. Josué Quintal fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 65th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Célio Paraíba having to interfere. After a rather tough play, MACUMBA's Bedri Berat got a free kick in the 67th minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Josué Quintal in the 69th minute of play forced SNIPER's goalkeeper Célio Paraíba to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Dalmo Ferreira during the 72nd minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Jardel Figueiredo kicked well hit freekick during the 77th minute of the match. MACUMBA's Mazinho Correia took a good shot, in the 78th minute, which hit the crossbar above Célio Paraíba's head, and flew over the goal. SNIPER's manager was very thankful on the sidelines as his team had managed to keep the ball out of the net after some serious pressure by MACUMBA. A collision led to SNIPER getting a freekick after 87 minutes play. Vito Tande hit a great ball. Both teams had looked equal from kick-off, and no-one was surprised when the match finally ended in a draw.
