Ariel Ponc stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Aureliano Karlo's shot from short distance in the 17th minute. Dawid Beckham made a great header on AFC FUSION's corner, it was just that Villa Mitre City's Ariel Ponc managed to reach the ball for a save. Chus Insausti in the 21stth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. The attack was good, but when Aureliano Karlo in the 34th minute was about to shoot he didn't kick quite good enough and the ball went high over goal. In the 41st minute Aureliano Karlo shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ariel Ponc saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Ariel Ponc showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Aureliano Karlo in the 44th minute of the match. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

AFC FUSION's Roberto Eztebe played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Ferdinando Buccella in the 52nd minute of play. Through an outstanding action, after 56 minutes, Ariel Ponc successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. In the 58th minute Aureliano Karlo shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ariel Ponc saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. AFC FUSION's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Dawid Beckham in the 59th minute. 61 minutes into the match, AFC FUSION's Aureliano Karlo sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Ariel Ponc narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Aureliano Karlo might have been able to make a better finish in the 62nd minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Ariel Ponc. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Aureliano Karlo ran back to his position shaking his head. An unexpectedly hard shot by Aureliano Karlo in the 62nd minute of play forced Villa Mitre City's goalkeeper Ariel Ponc to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. When the match had gone on for 92 minutes, Mari Balotelli took a quick shot and it went in 2-4 without a chance for Ariel Ponc to make any attempt to save it. The referee blew the final whistle, and the away crowd roared, having watched AFC FUSION eke out a victory against a very well matched opponent.
