But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Fionntán McGlynn couldn't finish the play. After a rather tough play, Zaječice's Petr Štefánek got a free kick in the 9th minute. Fionntán McGlynn recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 10th minute. After some fancy dribbling in the 59th minute, Fionntán McGlynn managed to get in a good position for a shot. Ranaghy's supporters rose to their feet, but Fionntán McGlynn was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Augustin Prášil breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. In the 66th minute of the match Petr Štefánek sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Iarla Colwell skillfully saved the ball. In the 68th minute Petr Hála shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Iarla Colwell saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Iarla Colwell took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Petr Hála, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 71st minute of the game. One of Ranaghy:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of Zaječice:s goal. After 77 minutes of play, Zaječice's Helmut Basl made it 2-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Iarla Colwell was left in no man's land by his defense there! Iarla Colwell showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Petr Hála in the 85th minute of the match. When Tomáš Lepka fell near the penalty area in the 87th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Zaječice's protests and gave Tomáš Lepka a yellow card for diving instead. A collision led to Zaječice getting a freekick after 87 minutes play. Tomáš Lepka hit a great ball. After a rather tough play, Ranaghy's Brendan McSteve got a free kick in the 95th minute. When Petr Baroch came up free with the goalie in the 98th minute, the Zaječice fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Petr Baroch couldn't finish the play. The referee blew his whistle, and the match came to a close. The players exchanged shirts and headed down the tunnel. The Zaječice fans cheered their team off the field, for while Ranaghy had put up a good fight, they were unable to come out of the game with any points to show for their effort.
