In the 13thth minute of the game Morales Moreira who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but H Romeu's Mateus Carioca was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. If Leandro Heidemann had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 16th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. With a little luck, H Romeu's Mateus Carioca got control of the ball when Maurinho Mendonça tried to sneak it across the goal line. Mateus Carioca was a little too slow when Maurinho Mendonça got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 19th minute. The score was now 3-0. When Brazil's Morales Moreira in the 22nd minute got a chance for a shot 22nd didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. The audience thought a goal was coming when Morales Moreira got free with Mateus Carioca in the 35th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Alberto Moraes made a great header on Brazil's corner, it was just that H Romeu's Mateus Carioca managed to reach the ball for a save. Alysson Rezende showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Alberto Dantas in the 37th minute of the match. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Denílson Tepedino in the 82nd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Mateus Carioca saved H Romeu from getting behind. Mateus Carioca showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Clayton Gol, who was totally free with the ball in the 84th minute. In the 95th minute Denílson Tepedino shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Mateus Carioca saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Brazil's supporters were delighted with their team's performance and swarmed onto the pitch at the end of the match to celebrate the victory with the players.
