Gil Gouveia made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Miroslav Klose in the 10th minute of play. Gil Gouveia showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Miroslav Klose in the 11th minute of the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Gaspar Linhares in the 17th minute of play forced QUINTA DAS LUZES F.C.'s goalkeeper Kristopher Johnson to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. When Tiago Ventura fell near the penalty area in the 18th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Aveiro FC's protests and gave Tiago Ventura a yellow card for diving instead. Miroslav Klose might have been able to make a better finish in the 19th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Gil Gouveia. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Miroslav Klose ran back to his position shaking his head. Gil Gouveia made an important save on a dangerous shot by Miroslav Klose in the 19th minute. After 21 played minutes QUINTA DAS LUZES F.C. got a freekick which was hit by Aleksey Denisov. Aveiro FC's Gil Gouveia played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Miroslav Klose in the 32nd minute of play. The supporters of QUINTA DAS LUZES F.C. booed when Aveiro FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 42 match minutes in a wonderful position. Hilário Albuquerque didn't get a good kick on the ball. QUINTA DAS LUZES F.C.'s supporters crossed their fingers, but Miroslav Klose was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. QUINTA DAS LUZES F.C.'s José Guimarães was substituted for Diamantino Vilela. After 75 played minutes QUINTA DAS LUZES F.C. got a freekick which was hit by Brendan Tran. Amado Macena was probably a little too eager to shoot when he, in the 76th played minute, shot the ball from way out. The shot was hard, but the ball flew wide of the goal.
