Peter Sparks made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Adélio Seabra in the 42nd minute of play. In the 44th minute Hiperbórea were awarded a corner. Santiago Couto went to the cornerflag to take it. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-1 lead.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Noel Marinho to make the kick off. After a rather tough play, Miradeses FC's Morris Zemp got a free kick in the 50th minute. Peter Sparks made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Tiago Ferrão in the 51st minute of play. The audience was convinced that Tiago Ferrão's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Peter Sparks was relentless in the 55th minute of the game.
