Dário Malafaia took the ball and in the 13 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Leandro Meireles. The Valverde United fans' excitement grew in the 19th match minute when Valverde United's Teófilo Mota looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 0-3 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. Leandro Meireles stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Egídio Regueira's shot from short distance in the 24th minute. Teófilo Mota took the ball and in the 31 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Leandro Meireles. Leandro Meireles dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-4. In the 34th minute, Geraldo Guarda hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After having played for 39 minutes, Dário Malafaia managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Valverde United's supporters crossed their fingers, but Dário Malafaia was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by Dário Malafaia in the 42nd minute of play forced Cruz de Cristo-Carvalhos's goalkeeper Leandro Meireles to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Cruz de Cristo-Carvalhos were furious when Geraldo Guarda was red carded, 44 minutes into the game, but the referee dismissed their protests. After 43 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for Cruz de Cristo-Carvalhos! Leandro Meireles had in the 45thth minute some difficulties stopping Egídio Regueira's well aimed penalty as it nearly passed him on his left side, but he still managed to hold the ball. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-4 lead.

The wind increased when David Reis made the kick off in the second half. Joaquim Cerqueira fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 51st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Leandro Meireles having to interfere. But to his dismay, 周迅然 quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-5. In the 59th minute Egídio Regueira shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Leandro Meireles saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Leandro Meireles made an important save on a dangerous shot by Joaquim Cerqueira in the 60th minute. Leandro Meireles made a fantastic save in the 62nd minute, when Dário Malafaia sent off a good shot on target. Dário Malafaia took the ball and in the 64 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Leandro Meireles. Leandro Meireles dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-6. Cruz de Cristo-Carvalhos's Leandro Meireles proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 76th minute of the match, managed to save Cruz de Cristo-Carvalhos from getting a goal against them. After a rather tough play, Cruz de Cristo-Carvalhos's Igor Barata got a free kick in the 76th minute. The supporters of Cruz de Cristo-Carvalhos booed when Valverde United was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 79 match minutes in a wonderful position. Joaquim Cerqueira didn't get a good kick on the ball. The audience was convinced that 周迅然's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Leandro Meireles was relentless in the 81st minute of the game.
