The Beira Mar SC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Sálvio Vilas Boas should have stopped the shot. When Adalberto Viegas came up free with the goalie in the 96th minute, the MZ Fénix fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Adalberto Viegas couldn't finish the play. When the final whistle sounded MZ Fénix left the ground with the victory after a much better performance than Beira Mar SC.
