Eliseu Patrício's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Sálvio Vilas Boas read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 4th minute of play. David De Boeck charged in rather forcefully in the 6th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed David De Boeck the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 6th match minute, Beira Mar SC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by David De Boeck to maneuver through the defense. 8 minutes into the match, Beira Mar SC's goal looked a bit too open when Paulo Marinho came free, but Sálvio Vilas Boas reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After 17 played minutes Sporting Clube Palmela got a freekick which was hit by Cândido Regalado. 黄洋榕 was in exellent shape and made a fantastic save when he, in the 18th minute of the match, managed to get hold of the ball after a long shot from David De Boeck. In the 22nd minute David De Boeck shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but 黄洋榕 saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Sálvio Vilas Boas made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Paulo Marinho in the 23rd minute of play. In the 26th match minute, Beira Mar SC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Ciccio Mascia to maneuver through the defense. 28 minutes into the game, Ciccio Mascia cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-0. 黄洋榕 was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Hélio Ferrão took the ball and in the 35 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Sálvio Vilas Boas. Sálvio Vilas Boas dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-1. Olavo Taveira kicked well hit freekick during the 38th minute of the match. 39 minutes into the match, Paulo Marinho notched a goal, 1-2, to the right of Beira Mar SC's Sálvio Vilas Boas. Sálvio Vilas Boas was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Hélio Ferrão scored 1-3 in the 44th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Sálvio Vilas Boas, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Paulo Marinho sent away a hard shot on goal in the 47th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After the first half Sporting Clube Palmela were leading 1-3. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell David De Boeck to make the kick off. Joélson Moreira's late challenge caught a Sporting Clube Palmela's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Joélson Moreira helped the player get up and apologised. The supporters of Sporting Clube Palmela booed when Beira Mar SC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 56 match minutes in a wonderful position. Joélson Moreira didn't get a good kick on the ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by David De Boeck in the 59th minute of play forced Sporting Clube Palmela's goalkeeper 黄洋榕 to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After 61st play minutes Ciccio Mascia shot 2-3, a short shot which went by 黄洋榕 and just under the crossbar into goal. Hermenegildo Morais hit a great freekick 69 minutes into the match. Beira Mar SC made a substitution. Graciano Medeiros replaced Alexandre Torcato. An unexpectedly hard shot by David De Boeck in the 75th minute of play forced Sporting Clube Palmela's goalkeeper 黄洋榕 to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 76th minute, Sporting Clube Palmela's Paulo Marinho dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 2-4. Beira Mar SC's Sálvio Vilas Boas played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Eliseu Patrício in the 81st minute of play. After a rather tough play, Beira Mar SC's Joélson Moreira got a free kick in the 94th minute. Chants of Sporting Clube Palmela echoed around the stadium as the match drew to a close. Supporters and players were both delighted with the win, as Beira Mar SC had held the ball for most of the match.
