Sálvio Vilas Boas tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. With a little luck, Coelho FC's Jacinto Ávila got control of the ball when Alexandre Torcato tried to sneak it across the goal line. In the 11th minute Almiro Guimarães shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Sálvio Vilas Boas saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Rodrigo Castilho in the 12th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Sálvio Vilas Boas saved Beira Mar SC from getting behind. Sálvio Vilas Boas took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Almiro Guimarães, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 14thth minute of the game Rodrigo Castilho who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Beira Mar SC's Sálvio Vilas Boas was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Rodrigo Castilho in the 17th minute of play forced Beira Mar SC's goalkeeper Sálvio Vilas Boas to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling David De Boeck in the 32nd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Jacinto Ávila prevented the ball from getting in the gole. In the 33rd minute of the match Beira Mar SC got a corner. Coelho FC's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. David De Boeck ran over to the corner to take the kick. The corner ended in David De Boeck almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but Coelho FC's Jacinto Ávila did a great save. Sálvio Vilas Boas showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Almiro Guimarães, who was totally free with the ball in the 34th minute. David De Boeck's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 36thth minute, Jacinto Ávila skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. In the 41st minute, Olavo Taveira hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After having played for 42 minutes, Almiro Guimarães managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Coelho FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Almiro Guimarães was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Jacinto Ávila stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of David De Boeck's shot from short distance in the 44th minute. After 48 minutes of play, Coelho FC's Rodrigo Castilho made it 0-3 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Sálvio Vilas Boas was left in no man's land by his defense there! The Beira Mar SC players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. Coelho FC were winning 0-3.

Sálvio Vilas Boas showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Rodrigo Castilho in the 54th minute of the match. In the 57th play minute Herminio Raebert came free and shot an unsuspected shot which went into goal from the right pole behind a surprised Sálvio Vilas Boas. 0-4. Beira Mar SC's defense didn't have a chance, in the 63rd minute, when Almiro Guimarães scored to the left of an out of position Sálvio Vilas Boas, making the score, 0-5. David Malta's late challenge caught a Coelho FC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. David Malta helped the player get up and apologised. 65 minutes into the game, one of Beira Mar SC:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. Beira Mar SC:s Sálvio Vilas Boas showed great skill when he stopped Usman Sukardi:s penalty. A collision led to Beira Mar SC getting a freekick after 68 minutes play. Hipólito Amado hit a great ball. Beira Mar SC made a substitution. Graciano Medeiros replaced Alexandre Torcato. Coelho FC's Humberto Azeredo was substituted for Alex Caires. After having played for 75 minutes, David De Boeck managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Beira Mar SC's supporters crossed their fingers, but David De Boeck was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Coelho FC's Jacinto Ávila played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by David De Boeck in the 81st minute of play. In the 99th minute, Beira Mar SC's Aparício Machado seemed to kick out at an opponent. The referee saw this and, surprisingly, showed Aparício Machado the red card, dismissing him from the pitch. The coaching staff of Beira Mar SC protested bitterly, but the referee would have none of it, and Aparício Machado had no choice but to slowly walk off the pitch. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 99th minute of the game. One of Beira Mar SC:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of Coelho FC:s goal. Coelho FC played a much better game than Beira Mar SC and deserved their victory. The Beira Mar SC players were clearly disappointed as they left the ground.
