With an extended leg and a bit of luck Abel Meira prevented the ball from getting in the gole. 38 minutes into the match, Alexandre Semedo notched a goal, 0-1, to the right of FC Beatriz 08's Abel Meira. Abel Meira was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. FC Beatriz 08's Abel Meira played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Alexandre Semedo in the 40th minute of play. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 42nd minute of the game. One of FC Beatriz 08:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of TAVIRA FC:s goal. The corner led to TAVIRA FC's Clemente Souza getting away a dangerous shot that went just outside the goal. Rafael Pereira came free with the goalkeeper in the 48th minute of the match, and shot straight on target. The shot was a little too simple and Herberto Abreu could save by the left post. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-1 lead.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Shao Xi Ran to make the kick off.
