Alfredo Santana showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Armindo Silveira in the 10th minute of the match. In the 11th minute, Carlos Figueiredo got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Carlos Figueiredo's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Fábio Monteiro read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 17th minute of play. Zakarias Penning hit a great freekick 19 minutes into the match. In the 22nd minute Carlos Figueiredo shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Fábio Monteiro saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Sporting Tuga FC's Alfredo Santana played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Zakarias Penning in the 23rd minute of play. Armindo Silveira blasted a shot towards the goal in the 24th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Alfredo Santana having to make a save. Alfredo Santana made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Armindo Silveira in the 24th minute of play. Armindo Silveira might have been able to make a better finish in the 26th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Alfredo Santana. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Armindo Silveira ran back to his position shaking his head. Alfredo Santana showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Armindo Silveira, who was totally free with the ball in the 26th minute. Lucas Monsanto's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Fábio Monteiro read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 32nd minute of play. 34 minutes into the match, Sporting Tuga FC's goal looked a bit too open when Babacar Diaby came free, but Alfredo Santana reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Alfredo Santana made an important save on a dangerous shot by Babacar Diaby in the 36th minute. Armindo Silveira might have been able to make a better finish in the 37th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Alfredo Santana. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Armindo Silveira ran back to his position shaking his head. 37 minutes into the match, Sporting Tuga FC's goalkeeper Alfredo Santana had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Armindo Silveira. Alfredo Santana took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Armindo Silveira, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 42 minutes into the game, Babacar Diaby lined in a short shot 2-0 behind a frustrated Alfredo Santana. In the 46th minute Armindo Silveira shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Alfredo Santana saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 2-0.

Hilário Infante made in the 53rd minute of the game a throw-in that took a bad bounce and was taken care of by Sporting Tuga FC's Maicon Pinheiro. When Armindo Silveira fell near the penalty area in the 55th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Mirante da Portela's protests and gave Armindo Silveira a yellow card for diving instead. Sporting Tuga FC's Wilson Raposo was substituted for Nasko Vitev. In the 58thth minute of the game Armindo Silveira who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Sporting Tuga FC's Alfredo Santana was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Armindo Silveira might have been able to make a better finish in the 59th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Alfredo Santana. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Armindo Silveira ran back to his position shaking his head. An unexpectedly hard shot by Armindo Silveira in the 59th minute of play forced Sporting Tuga FC's goalkeeper Alfredo Santana to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 63 minutes into the match, Mirante da Portela's goalkeeper Fábio Monteiro had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Carlos Figueiredo. In the 64th minute of the match Sporting Tuga FC got a corner. Mirante da Portela's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Manuel Furtado ran over to the corner to take the kick. Lucas Monsanto was in a good position and managed to take a shot, but he missed just to the outside of the post. Alfredo Santana took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Armindo Silveira, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After 67 played minutes Mirante da Portela got a freekick which was hit by Teófilo Vilanova. Miguel Rangel kicked well hit freekick during the 70th minute of the match. Armindo Silveira blasted a shot towards the goal in the 72nd minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Alfredo Santana having to make a save. Alfredo Santana made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Armindo Silveira in the 79th minute of play. With a little luck, Mirante da Portela's Fábio Monteiro got control of the ball when Carlos Figueiredo tried to sneak it across the goal line. The referee gave Sporting Tuga FC a penalty, 82 minutes into the game. The penalty shot was made by Manuel Furtado, who made a well placed shot into the net to the right of Mirante da Portela's Fábio Monteiro. 2-1. When Carlos Figueiredo came up free with the goalie in the 84th minute, the Sporting Tuga FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Carlos Figueiredo couldn't finish the play. The audience thought a goal was coming when Carlos Figueiredo got free with Fábio Monteiro in the 86th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. In the 91st minute, Armindo Silveira got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. In the 92nd minute, Miguel Rangel had to leave the field with a concussion. 92 minutes into the game, Romão Araújo was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Mirante da Portela's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Sporting Tuga FC the free kick. Sporting Tuga FC's Eusébio Miguéis was substituted for Miguel Rangel. After a rather tough play, Mirante da Portela's Romão Araújo got a free kick in the 93rd minute. Mirante da Portela's fans were exulted and cheered after their team won in a match that could easily have gone the other way.
