AD FAFE's Filomeno Santana tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. 11 minutes into the match, AD FAFE's goal looked a bit too open when Carlos Figueiredo came free, but Filomeno Santana reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Filomeno Santana took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Leonard Percha, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 19th match minute, AD FAFE was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Artur Caldas to maneuver through the defense. After a rather tough play, Sporting Tuga FC's Severiano Curado got a free kick in the 21st minute. In the 22nd minute, AD FAFE's Raul Sales dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 1-2. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Carlos Figueiredo in the 26th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Filomeno Santana saved AD FAFE from getting behind. Filomeno Santana showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Carlos Figueiredo, who was totally free with the ball in the 28th minute. Filomeno Santana made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Carlos Figueiredo in the 29th minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Carlos Figueiredo in the 35th minute of play forced AD FAFE's goalkeeper Filomeno Santana to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. AD FAFE's Filomeno Santana played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Carlos Figueiredo in the 41st minute of play. After 42 minutes, Cecilio Avilés mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the AD FAFE and the Sporting Tuga FC players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 42nd match minute, AD FAFE was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Cecilio Avilés to maneuver through the defense. Lucas Monsanto received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 45th minute. Filomeno Santana tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 1-3 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Carlos Figueiredo made a kick off. Alfredo Santana showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Artur Caldas in the 53rd minute of the match. Alfredo Santana made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Jacinto Ponte in the 56th minute of play. 57 minutes into the match, AD FAFE's Jacinto Ponte sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Alfredo Santana narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Cesário Linhares hit a great freekick 58 minutes into the match. Filomeno Santana stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Carlos Figueiredo's shot from short distance in the 62nd minute. In the 65th minute Artur Caldas shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Alfredo Santana saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Leal Vilela hit a great freekick 65 minutes into the match. In the 70th match minute, Sporting Tuga FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Maicon Pinheiro to maneuver through the defense. In the 76thth minute of the game Carlos Figueiredo who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but AD FAFE's Filomeno Santana was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. After 80 played minutes AD FAFE got a freekick which was hit by Cecilio Avilés. AD FAFE's Filomeno Santana proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 85th minute of the match, managed to save AD FAFE from getting a goal against them. With a little luck, AD FAFE's Filomeno Santana got control of the ball when Carlos Figueiredo tried to sneak it across the goal line. After some fancy dribbling in the 94th minute, Carlos Figueiredo managed to get in a good position for a shot. Sporting Tuga FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Carlos Figueiredo was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Filomeno Santana breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. The AD FAFE fans had already started to leave before the final whistle blew. Sporting Tuga FC were clearly better and deserved to take the win.
