In the 18th minute Virgílio Costa shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Manuel Magalhães saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The PINI FC fans' excitement grew in the 22nd match minute when PINI FC's Teodoro Mourato looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 1-1 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. In the 28th minute of the match, Teodoro Mourato tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Paulo Teles saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. F.C.'s Paulo Teles got control of the ball when Witalis Bejrut tried to sneak it across the goal line. Manuel Magalhães stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Virgílio Costa's shot from short distance in the 43rd minute. After the first half B.Z. F.C. were leading 1-2. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

In the 52nd minute, Serafim Pinhal hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 53 minutes into the match, PINI FC's Teodoro Mourato sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Paulo Teles narrowly saved just below the crossbar. 55 minutes into the match, B.Z. F.C.'s goal looked a bit too open when Igor Christobal came free, but Paulo Teles reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Teodoro Mourato in the 61st minute of play forced B.Z. F.C.'s goalkeeper Paulo Teles to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball.
