After some fancy dribbling in the 5th minute, Urban Myr managed to get in a good position for a shot. Benfica VN's supporters rose to their feet, but Urban Myr was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Frederico Vilalobos breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. In the 7th minute, Severiano Campelo left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Nascente do Leça fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-1. Frederico Vilalobos showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Christos Koumantarakis in the 12th minute of the match. Severiano Campelo blasted a shot towards the goal in the 13th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Shelton Knutson having to make a save. Shelton Knutson showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Severiano Campelo, who was totally free with the ball in the 13th minute. In the 16th minute Nascente do Leça were awarded a corner. Severiano Campelo went to the cornerflag to take it. The corner went over the outstretched arms of Benfica VN's goalie and right to Nuno Bomba. He fired away a shot at goal, but the shot had too much spin, and it went just outside the goal. Benfica VN's manager breathed a sigh of relief on the sidelines as his team had managed to escape an almost certain goal. Nascente do Leça's Frederico Vilalobos proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 19th minute of the match, managed to save Nascente do Leça from getting a goal against them. 24 minutes into the game, Severiano Campelo cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-2. Shelton Knutson was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Shelton Knutson showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Severiano Campelo, who was totally free with the ball in the 31st minute. 32 minutes into the match, Nascente do Leça's Severiano Campelo sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Shelton Knutson narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Shelton Knutson took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Severiano Campelo, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Shelton Knutson stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Severiano Campelo's shot from short distance in the 36th minute. In the 39th minute the ball was on its way in behind Benfica VN's goalkeeper Shelton Knutson, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. 40 minutes into the game, Nascente do Leça's Severiano Campelo nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Shelton Knutson made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-3. A collision led to Nascente do Leça getting a freekick after 47 minutes play. André Novais hit a great ball. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-3.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Christos Koumantarakis to strike the kick off in the second half. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Evandro Santana in the 51st managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Frederico Vilalobos saved Nascente do Leça from getting behind. Christos Koumantarakis might have been able to make a better finish in the 54th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Frederico Vilalobos. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Christos Koumantarakis ran back to his position shaking his head. Frederico Vilalobos made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Evandro Santana in the 55th minute of play. Severiano Campelo recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 68th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Severiano Campelo sent away a hard shot on goal in the 70th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. In the 76th minute, Severiano Campelo ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Shelton Knutson was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-4. Shelton Knutson showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Severiano Campelo in the 81st minute of the match. A collision led to Nascente do Leça getting a freekick after 83 minutes play. Bento Madeira hit a great ball. When Delfim Quaresma came up free with the goalie in the 85th minute, the Benfica VN fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Delfim Quaresma couldn't finish the play. Hipólito Ferro hit a great freekick 91 minutes into the match. The audience thought a goal was coming when Severiano Campelo got free with Shelton Knutson in the 96th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. In the 96th match minute, Nascente do Leça was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Bogdan Gierasik to maneuver through the defense.
