Moisés Nóbrega tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Domingos Neto made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Claudio Cina in the 23rd minute of play. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Jacinto Carneiro in the 27th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Moisés Nóbrega saved SPORT LISBOA E BENFICA from getting behind. Domingos Neto showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Claudio Cina in the 28th minute of the match. Davor Šuker was in a good position and managed to take a shot, but he missed just to the outside of the post. The supporters of SPORT LISBOA E BENFICA booed when AQUAE FLAVIAE was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 45 match minutes in a wonderful position. Avelino Macieira didn't get a good kick on the ball. The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Hugo Almeida was the one to do the kick off. 51 minutes into the match, AQUAE FLAVIAE's goalkeeper Domingos Neto had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Hugo Almeida. 53 minutes into the match, SPORT LISBOA E BENFICA's goal looked a bit too open when Jacinto Carneiro came free, but Moisés Nóbrega reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Yuri Coelho in the 64th minute of play forced SPORT LISBOA E BENFICA's goalkeeper Moisés Nóbrega to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Domingos Neto made an important save on a dangerous shot by Hugo Almeida in the 66th minute. Moisés Nóbrega showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Jacinto Carneiro, who was totally free with the ball in the 68th minute.
