The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Saúl Zambujal made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Jacinto Carneiro in the 3rd minute of play. Saúl Zambujal made a fantastic save in the 5th minute, when Jacinto Carneiro sent off a good shot on target. With his leg Saúl Zambujal managed to avoid a goal in the 8thth minute, when AQUAE FLAVIAE's Yuri Coelho fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. An unexpectedly hard shot by Jacinto Carneiro in the 10th minute of play forced G. D. PENICHE V2's goalkeeper Saúl Zambujal to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Stalin Steckamp in the 21st minute of play forced AQUAE FLAVIAE's goalkeeper Domingos Neto to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Jacinto Carneiro in the 24th minute of play forced G. D. PENICHE V2's goalkeeper Saúl Zambujal to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 25 minutes into the game, Jerónimo Cardoso was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. G. D. PENICHE V2's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave AQUAE FLAVIAE the free kick. Jerónimo Cardoso kicked well hit freekick during the 25th minute of the match. In the 26th minute, Adélio Festas left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The AQUAE FLAVIAE fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-0. Saúl Zambujal showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Yuri Coelho, who was totally free with the ball in the 34th minute. Avelino Macieira fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 35th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Saúl Zambujal having to interfere. An unexpectedly hard shot by Jacinto Carneiro in the 37th minute of play forced G. D. PENICHE V2's goalkeeper Saúl Zambujal to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 40 minutes into the match, G. D. PENICHE V2's goal looked a bit too open when Jacinto Carneiro came free, but Saúl Zambujal reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Saúl Zambujal made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Jacinto Carneiro in the 44th minute of play. In the 45th minute Jacinto Carneiro shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Saúl Zambujal saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 1-0 at half-time.

The wind increased when Tato Orihuela made the kick off in the second half. Saúl Zambujal showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Yuri Coelho in the 51st minute of the match. After having played for 55 minutes, Jacinto Carneiro managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. AQUAE FLAVIAE's supporters crossed their fingers, but Jacinto Carneiro was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Saúl Zambujal took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Jacinto Carneiro, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Adélio Festas received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 65th minute. Saúl Zambujal tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Saúl Zambujal stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Jacinto Carneiro's shot from short distance in the 67th minute. Saúl Zambujal took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Jacinto Carneiro, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. During the 73rd minute of the match Jerónimo Cardoso completely mistimed his tackle and brought down his opponent. The referee gave Jerónimo Cardoso a yellow card, his second in the match, which meant he could no longer take part in the game. In the 74th minute, Jerónimo Cardoso hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After 80 played minutes G. D. PENICHE V2 got a freekick which was hit by Tomé Bomba. 81 minutes into the match, Jacinto Carneiro had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Saúl Zambujal. G. D. PENICHE V2's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Jacinto Carneiro was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 2-0. After 85 minutes of play, AQUAE FLAVIAE's Gonçalo Semedo made it 3-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Saúl Zambujal was left in no man's land by his defense there! In the 89th match minute, AQUAE FLAVIAE was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Manuel Rios to maneuver through the defense. An unexpectedly hard shot by Alberto Pimenta in the 90th minute of play forced AQUAE FLAVIAE's goalkeeper Domingos Neto to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Tato Orihuela fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 93rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Domingos Neto having to interfere. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Jacinto Carneiro in the 96th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Saúl Zambujal prevented the ball from getting in the gole. There were very few away supporters still in the ground by the end of the match. Most of them had left early, disgusted by the way their team had been torn apart. AQUAE FLAVIAE fully deserved thier win.
