Jiang hit a great freekick 19 minutes into the match. In the 22nd minute Teodoro Freire shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Leal Simões saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Angelo Pessoa recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 23rd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 25th minute, Tobias Fontes got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. With an all-out effort, KINGS FC's David Bastos threw himself towards the right post 27 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Zoltán Tálas, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. An unexpectedly hard shot by Angelo Pessoa in the 28th minute of play forced KINGS FC's goalkeeper Leal Simões to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. AM United's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Jorge Morais in the 30th minute. After a rather tough play, AM United's Adelino Palma got a free kick in the 30th minute. Teodoro Freire might have been able to make a better finish in the 34th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Leal Simões. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Teodoro Freire ran back to his position shaking his head. After having played for 41 minutes, Paulo Valadão managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. KINGS FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Paulo Valadão was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Leal Simões showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Angelo Pessoa in the 43rd minute of the match. Leal Simões didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Angelo Pessoa went, in the 45th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-1 was the resulting score. After the first half AM United were leading 0-1. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

David Bastos made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Jānis Blūms in the 52nd minute of play. David Bastos came out of the goal in the 54th minute to try and stop a shot by KINGS FC's Jānis Blūms. But to his dismay, Jānis Blūms quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-1. 62 minutes into the match, AM United's goal looked a bit too open when Jānis Blūms came free, but David Bastos reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. When the match had gone on for 67 minutes, Paulo Valadão put it in 2-1 from a short distance just to the right of David Bastos. An unexpectedly hard shot by Zoltán Tálas in the 71st minute of play forced AM United's goalkeeper David Bastos to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 74th minute, AM United's Angelo Pessoa ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Leal Simões. Leal Simões yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 2-2. A sloppy throw-in by Otto Sosa in the 77th minute of the game went astray and was snapped up by AM United's Jorge Morais. In the 85th minute Zoltán Tálas shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but David Bastos saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The audience was convinced that Cássio Calçada's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but David Bastos was relentless in the 87th minute of the game. 90 minutes into the match, Cássio Calçada had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of David Bastos. AM United's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Cássio Calçada was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 3-2. In the 96th minute, Roberto Tinoco hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. KINGS FC's supporters were delighted with their team's performance and swarmed onto the pitch at the end of the match to celebrate the victory with the players.
