Despite this Timóteo Amorim quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. 19 minutes into the game, F.C.Bacha's Santos Guillelme nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Timóteo Amorim made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 2-0. With a little luck, SC Cortinhas's Timóteo Amorim got control of the ball when Palmiro Colaço tried to sneak it across the goal line. After a defensive mix-up in F.C.Bacha's zone, Jesualdo Sacadura stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Vicente Abrantes came out of the goal and Jesualdo Sacadura tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Thanks to some nice moves Palmiro Colaço could shoot a difficult shot in the 30th minute, which Timóteo Amorim however easily saved by the left post. F.C.Bacha's Moisés Guterres quite brazenly broke a throw-in by Jerónimo Barros, made in the 31st minute of the game. If Santos Guillelme had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 32nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In a very dangerous position, a player in SC Cortinhas fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 36th minute. Penalty! Santos Guillelme placed the ball on the penalty spot and got himself ready to shoot. Post out! An unexpected shot in the 40th minute by Palmiro Colaço got the crowd on their feet, but to their dismay it went out on the left side. Sérgio Soeiro hit a great freekick 41 minutes into the match. Santos Guillelme received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Timóteo Amorim came out and tried to block the shot, but Santos Guillelme slotted it home off the left post making it 3-0 in the 43rd minute. In the 45th match minute, SC Cortinhas was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Sérgio Soeiro to maneuver through the defense. Santos Guillelme recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 46th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 3-0.
SC Cortinhas made a substitution. Gervásio Ferro replaced Gervásio Alcântara. The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Santos Guillelme stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. After 52 played minutes SC Cortinhas got a freekick which was hit by Sérgio Soeiro.
