An unexpectedly hard shot by Apostolis Koulos in the 6th minute of play forced Matos Velhos's goalkeeper Mike van Kampen to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After 11 minutes of play, Matos Velhos's Heigo Luiga made it 1-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Vicente Abrantes was left in no man's land by his defense there! An unexpectedly hard shot by Sabino Vilhena in the 14th minute of play forced F.C.Bacha's goalkeeper Vicente Abrantes to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Vicente Abrantes took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Joaquim Delgado, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Joaquim Delgado in the 23rdth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. If Lisandro Fagundes had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 29th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. With an all-out effort, Matos Velhos's Vicente Abrantes threw himself towards the right post 33 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Sabino Vilhena, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. After some fancy dribbling in the 35th minute, Palmiro Colaço managed to get in a good position for a shot. F.C.Bacha's supporters rose to their feet, but Palmiro Colaço was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Mike van Kampen breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. A nice corner shot did that Balendín Rubio got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Mike van Kampen quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. Palmiro Colaço blasted a shot towards the goal in the 39th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Mike van Kampen having to make a save. Heigo Luiga could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 43rd minute of the match, but Vicente Abrantes made a huge save. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

The wind increased when Joaquim Delgado made the kick off in the second half. An unexpectedly hard shot by Heigo Luiga in the 54th minute of play forced F.C.Bacha's goalkeeper Vicente Abrantes to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Matos Velhos's Mike van Kampen proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 56th minute of the match, managed to save Matos Velhos from getting a goal against them. In the 59thth minute of the game Sabino Vilhena who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but F.C.Bacha's Vicente Abrantes was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. 60 minutes into the match, F.C.Bacha's goal looked a bit too open when Heigo Luiga came free, but Vicente Abrantes reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Santos Guillelme received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 63rd minute. Mike van Kampen tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After 65 minutes, Sabino Vilhena mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Matos Velhos and the F.C.Bacha players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 65th match minute, Matos Velhos was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Sabino Vilhena to maneuver through the defense. The supporters of F.C.Bacha booed when Matos Velhos was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 68 match minutes in a wonderful position. Lisandro Vigil didn't get a good kick on the ball. Matos Velhos's Henrique Candal was substituted for Heigo Luiga. Matos Velhos's Generoso Silvino was substituted for Lisandro Fagundes. Lisandro Vigil hit a great freekick 69 minutes into the match. In the 70th minute of the match, Santos Guillelme got a very nice opportunity to score, but Mike van Kampen was well-placed and pushed the ball away from the goal at the left post.
