The audience thought a goal was coming when Valério Vilaça got free with João Brites in the 9th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Valério Vilaça could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 10th minute of the match, but João Brites made a huge save. A sloppy throw-in by Paulo Bento in the 14th minute of the game went astray and was snapped up by SLB TELHA's João Assunção. Mira Sintra's João Brites played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Luís Ribas in the 17th minute of play. After some careless play in the Mira Sintra defense, Luís Ribas kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of João Brites. The Mira Sintra fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that João Brites should have stopped the shot. In the 19th minute, Valério Vilaça fired away a killer shot towards the goal that, to the delight of João Brites, passed just outside the right post. 23 minutes into the match, SLB TELHA's Valério Vilaça sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that João Brites narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Mira Sintra's goalkeeper couldn't reach when Valério Vilaça 23 minutes into the game got a good kick on the ball which found its way into goal just inside left pole. 2-0. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

Bernardo Leiria made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from 秦浩洲 in the 53rd minute of play. After having played for 56 minutes, 秦浩洲 managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Mira Sintra's supporters crossed their fingers, but 秦浩洲 was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. 58 minutes into the match, Mira Sintra's goal looked a bit too open when Valério Vilaça came free, but João Brites reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. With a little luck, SLB TELHA's Bernardo Leiria got control of the ball when 秦浩洲 tried to sneak it across the goal line. In the 72nd minute the ball was on its way in behind Mira Sintra's goalkeeper João Brites, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Bernardo Leiria made an important save on a dangerous shot by 秦浩洲 in the 73rd minute. SLB TELHA's João Assunção quite brazenly broke a throw-in by Paulo Bento, made in the 77th minute of the game. 78 minutes into the match, Mira Sintra's goal looked a bit too open when Luís Ribas came free, but João Brites reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The supporters of SLB TELHA booed when Mira Sintra was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 83 match minutes in a wonderful position. Paulo Bento didn't get a good kick on the ball. Bernardo Leiria made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 3-3. SLB TELHA succeeded in salvaging a draw, even though Mira Sintra had controlled the match.
