AD Pontassolense's Gentil Macieira played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Jorge Esteves in the 8th minute of play. Januário Domingos took the ball and in the 17 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised António Brochado. António Brochado dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 2-0. António Brochado made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Giuseppe Catarinense in the 19th minute of play. In the 22nd minute Giuseppe Catarinense shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but António Brochado saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Giuseppe Catarinense might have been able to make a better finish in the 23rd minute when he tried to place a hard shot over António Brochado. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Giuseppe Catarinense ran back to his position shaking his head. If Jorge Esteves had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 26th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the last second António Brochado throw himself and got hold of the ball when Giuseppe Catarinense in the 29thth minute from his position got away a shot towards the right post. António Brochado didn't succeed in stopping the ball in the 33rd minute, which inside left pole to 4-0. 43 minutes into the match, AD Pontassolense's goal looked a bit too open when Laureano Rego came free, but Gentil Macieira reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Jorge Esteves received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 46th minute. Gentil Macieira tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Jorge Esteves made a kick off. António Brochado showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Giuseppe Catarinense in the 53rd minute of the match. António Brochado took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Giuseppe Catarinense, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After a defensive mix-up in AD Pontassolense's zone, Laureano Rego stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Gentil Macieira came out of the goal and Laureano Rego tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Giuseppe Catarinense in the 60th minute of play forced CANARINHOS DE ALCAINS's goalkeeper António Brochado to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Giuseppe Catarinense sent away a hard shot on goal in the 62nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 63rd minute of the game. One of CANARINHOS DE ALCAINS:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of AD Pontassolense:s goal. António Brochado came out of the goal in the 67th minute to try and stop a shot by AD Pontassolense's Januário Domingos. But to his dismay, Januário Domingos quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 7-0. 69 minutes into the game, Giuseppe Catarinense cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 8-0. António Brochado was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. António Brochado took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Januário Domingos, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 80th minute, CANARINHOS DE ALCAINS's Jorge Esteves dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 8-1. Januário Domingos charged in rather forcefully in the 83rd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Januário Domingos the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Januário Domingos hit a great freekick 83 minutes into the match. Januário Domingos fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 88th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without António Brochado having to interfere. 89 minutes into the match, Giuseppe Catarinense had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of António Brochado. CANARINHOS DE ALCAINS's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Giuseppe Catarinense was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 9-1. Laureano Rego hit a great freekick 93 minutes into the match. After some careless play in the CANARINHOS DE ALCAINS defense, Giuseppe Catarinense kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of António Brochado. The CANARINHOS DE ALCAINS fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that António Brochado should have stopped the shot. AD Pontassolense's supporters were delighted with their team's performance and swarmed onto the pitch at the end of the match to celebrate the victory with the players.
