SEGAFREDO CF's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave União Caparica the free kick. Adalberto Abreu took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Albert Karapetkov, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 13th minute, Artur Horta ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Adalberto Abreu was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-1. After 19 minutes of play, União Caparica's Albert Karapetkov made it 0-2 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Adalberto Abreu was left in no man's land by his defense there! After 23 minutes, Heitor Valido made it 1-2 with a short kick to the right side. União Caparica's Sidónio Maltez tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. Sidónio Maltez made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Homero Cerqueira in the 25th minute of play. Adalberto Abreu made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Albert Karapetkov in the 27th minute of play. Albert Karapetkov hit a great ball. Adalberto Abreu showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Albert Karapetkov in the 42nd minute of the match. SEGAFREDO CF's Adalberto Abreu played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Albert Karapetkov in the 45th minute of play. 46 minutes into the match, SEGAFREDO CF's goal looked a bit too open when Artur Horta came free, but Adalberto Abreu reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 1-2 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Homero Cerqueira to make the kick off. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Jorge Pais during the 52nd minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. União Caparica:s Sidónio Maltez showed great skill when he stopped Homero Cerqueira:s penalty. After some careless play in the União Caparica defense, Homero Cerqueira kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Sidónio Maltez. The União Caparica fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Sidónio Maltez should have stopped the shot. In the 55th minute Homero Cerqueira shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Sidónio Maltez saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 57 minutes into the match, SEGAFREDO CF's goal looked a bit too open when Artur Horta came free, but Adalberto Abreu reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Sidónio Maltez took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Teodoro Águas, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Sidónio Maltez made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Teodoro Águas in the 64th minute of play. A nice corner shot did that Homero Cerqueira got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Sidónio Maltez quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. The audience thought a goal was coming when Albert Karapetkov got free with Adalberto Abreu in the 67th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Adalberto Abreu made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Artur Horta in the 69th minute of play. In the 70th minute, Teodoro Águas left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The SEGAFREDO CF fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 3-3. Sidónio Maltez took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Teodoro Águas, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Sidónio Maltez came out of the goal in the 82nd minute to try and stop a shot by SEGAFREDO CF's Teodoro Águas. But to his dismay, Teodoro Águas quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 5-3. A collision led to União Caparica getting a freekick after 94 minutes play. Howard Barclay hit a great ball. Teodoro Águas sent away a hard shot on goal in the 97th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. SEGAFREDO CF's fans were exulted and cheered after their team won in a match that could easily have gone the other way.
