Alcino Granja showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Waldemar Rosen, who was totally free with the ball in the 10th minute. The supporters of Pinhote FC booed when Borlas was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 12 match minutes in a wonderful position. Luís Carmona didn't get a good kick on the ball. The crowd rose to their feet as Cláudio Domingues kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Ni Guang Yong. That made the score 1-1 in the 29 minute of play. In the 32nd match minute, Borlas was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Marcus Edwards to maneuver through the defense. Marcus Edwards hit a great freekick 33 minutes into the match. Alcino Granja made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Damião Maia in the 34th minute of play. Alcino Granja came out of the goal in the 45th minute to try and stop a shot by Pinhote FC's Sílvio Luís Ceresso. But to his dismay, Sílvio Luís Ceresso quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-2. The supporters of Pinhote FC booed when Borlas was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 47 match minutes in a wonderful position. Serafim Baldaia didn't get a good kick on the ball.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Cláudio Domingues stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. In the 59th minute, Imre Hellinger reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Alcino Granja. The goal made the score 1-3. The audience was convinced that Sílvio Luís Ceresso's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Alcino Granja was relentless in the 65th minute of the game. The audience was convinced that Sílvio Luís Ceresso's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Alcino Granja was relentless in the 84th minute of the game. Borlas's Alcino Granja proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 86th minute of the match, managed to save Borlas from getting a goal against them. After 87 minutes, Sebastião Andrade mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Pinhote FC and the Borlas players grew even worse after the yellow card.
