Bembenfica's Alípio Rego played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Augusto Ramos in the 25th minute of play. The wind increased when Florian Terrasi made the kick off in the second half. 51 minutes into the game, Vitor Roque was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Bembenfica's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Borlas the free kick. In the 57th minute, Cláudio Domingues made a precise shot to the right of Alípio Rego. Bembenfica's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 1-0. Alcino Granja made a fantastic save in the 64th minute, when Zeus Duarte sent off a good shot on target. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Cláudio Domingues in the 65th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Alípio Rego saved Bembenfica from getting behind.
