After 3 played minutes Mira United FC got a freekick which was hit by Dércio Moreira. In the 6th minute the ball was on its way in behind Mira United FC's goalkeeper Eriberto Bonadona, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Mao Zhen Hong came out of the goal in the 11th minute to try and stop a shot by Mira United FC's Gregório Neiva. But to his dismay, Gregório Neiva quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-1. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Gregório Neiva in the 15th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Mao Zhen Hong saved Academia Monte Gordo from getting behind. Gregório Neiva might have been able to make a better finish in the 16th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Mao Zhen Hong. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Gregório Neiva ran back to his position shaking his head. 16 minutes into the match, Academia Monte Gordo's goal looked a bit too open when Gregório Neiva came free, but Mao Zhen Hong reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Fabrício Lustosa fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 42nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Eriberto Bonadona having to interfere. The audience thought a goal was coming when Christian Westerstrand got free with Eriberto Bonadona in the 46th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 1-2 lead.

Eriberto Bonadona took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Boruc Brysz, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Eriberto Bonadona showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Christian Westerstrand in the 59th minute of the match. In the 83rd minute, Fabrício Lustosa left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Academia Monte Gordo fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 3-2. Academia Monte Gordo's Pascual Mouricio was substituted for Arana Ponta. After 88 played minutes Academia Monte Gordo got a freekick which was hit by Pascual Mouricio. Eriberto Bonadona showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Adélio Infante in the 94th minute of the match. Academia Monte Gordo's supporters were delighted with their team's performance and swarmed onto the pitch at the end of the match to celebrate the victory with the players.
