With his leg Ivo Guterres managed to avoid a goal in the 38thth minute, when Academia Monte Gordo's Christian Westerstrand fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. Ivo Guterres made a fantastic save in the 40th minute, when Arana Ponta sent off a good shot on target. Ivo Guterres showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Fabrício Lustosa, who was totally free with the ball in the 46th minute. Af the end of the first half the score was 1-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Christian Westerstrand made a kick off. If Fabrício Lustosa had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 57th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 59 minutes into the match, Fabrício Lustosa notched a goal, 3-0, to the right of SC Freiburg 09's Ivo Guterres. Ivo Guterres was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Academia Monte Gordo's Mao Zhen Hong played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Vasco Brás in the 65th minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Raul Leal in the 66th minute of play forced Academia Monte Gordo's goalkeeper Mao Zhen Hong to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 72nd match minute, SC Freiburg 09 was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Humberto Carmo to maneuver through the defense. Humberto Carmo hit a great freekick 73 minutes into the match. In the 76th match minute, SC Freiburg 09 was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by David Martínez to maneuver through the defense. SC Freiburg 09 were furious when Humberto Carmo was red carded, 77 minutes into the game, but the referee dismissed their protests. After 77 played minutes SC Freiburg 09 got a freekick which was hit by Humberto Carmo. Codrin Zamfira struck a weak shot in the 78th minute. Fabrício Lustosa received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 86th minute. Ivo Guterres tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 90 minutes into the match, Adélio Infante had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Ivo Guterres. SC Freiburg 09's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Adélio Infante was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 5-1. When the referee ended the match the Academia Monte Gordo players were able to celebrate. They had won a fair victory and recieved the ovations of their fans.
