When the match had been going on for 19 minutes, Suprs Academia's Lucero Agnese got an opportunity to shoot a penalty. He stayed cool and waited for the goalkeeper to move, before he confidently shot the ball into the goal, to the left of Vladimiro Medeiros. Jacek Ptaszek showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Flavio Xabel in the 24th minute of the match. Through an outstanding action, after 26 minutes, Vladimiro Medeiros successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. In the 30th minute, Amílcar Leiria got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. In the 33rd minute Amílcar Leiria shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Vladimiro Medeiros saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Vladimiro Medeiros took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Lucero Agnese, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After 36 played minutes Vaz FC got a freekick which was hit by Teodor Cercel. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Amílcar Leiria in the 38th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Vladimiro Medeiros saved Vaz FC from getting behind. When the match clock showed 38 minutes, the score became 2-0 when Amílcar Leiria sped through Vaz FC's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Vladimiro Medeiros. Vaz FC's Vladimiro Medeiros proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 46th minute of the match, managed to save Vaz FC from getting a goal against them. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 2-0.

The Suprs Academia fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 3-0. The supporters of Vaz FC booed when Suprs Academia was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 83 match minutes in a wonderful position. Leal Neto didn't get a good kick on the ball. After 85 played minutes Simão Queirós rounded Suprs Academia's defense and shot a beautiful shot into goal via left pole - 3-1. 89 minutes had been played when some careless play by Vaz FC's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Wiliam Queiroz was slow to take the kick. During this time Suprs Academia's players had a chance to rest. The corner led to Suprs Academia's Charlie Hultin getting away a dangerous shot that went just outside the goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by Lucero Agnese in the 96th minute of play forced Vaz FC's goalkeeper Vladimiro Medeiros to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The crowd rose to their feet and cheered when the referee blew the final whistle. Suprs Academia had won after a very even match.
