In the 25th minute, Alfredo Caires hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. If Domingos Abreu had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 28th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Óscar Quintela hit a great freekick 30 minutes into the match. In the 32nd minute Teodor Cercel shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ashley Cordingley saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Vaz FC's Vladimiro Medeiros played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Mikael Bergfeldt in the 44th minute of play. Vaz FC's Mikolaj Cichewski got a good chance for a goal in the 46th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Ashley Cordingley made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Ricardo Mourinho in the 47th minute of play. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Teodor Cercel made a kick off. In the 54th minute of the game António Barcelos made a throw-in which Pedro Vilalobos played forward. Ashley Cordingley made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Teodor Cercel in the 58th minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Teodor Cercel in the 65th minute of play forced keep Strong's goalkeeper Ashley Cordingley to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Vaz FC's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Tomé Figueiras in the 67th minute. Tomé Figueiras made a great header on Vaz FC's corner, it was just that keep Strong's Ashley Cordingley managed to reach the ball for a save. A collision led to keep Strong getting a freekick after 73 minutes play. Cristiano Carmo hit a great ball. After recieving a nice pass, Vaz FC's Tomé Figueiras tried to score from far away in the 73rd minute, but the ball went over the crossbar. Teodor Cercel charged in rather forcefully in the 81st minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Teodor Cercel the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After 81 played minutes Vaz FC got a freekick which was hit by Teodor Cercel. Vladimiro Medeiros showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Óscar Quintela in the 83rd minute of the match. In the 85thth minute of the game Óscar Quintela who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Vaz FC's Vladimiro Medeiros was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Óscar Quintela received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Vladimiro Medeiros came out and tried to block the shot, but Óscar Quintela slotted it home off the left post making it 0-1 in the 87th minute. A collision led to keep Strong getting a freekick after 95 minutes play. Alfredo Caires hit a great ball. The keep Strong players were relieved to hear the final whistle blow to end the match. The away crowd was happy to see their team win after a very tight game.
