Vareiros FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Raimundo Salgado was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Vareiros FC's defense didn't have a chance, in the 20th minute, when Karhan Siralp scored to the left of an out of position Liviu Bădiță, making the score, 1-0. A collision led to Vareiros FC getting a freekick after 25 minutes play. Erik Cordeiro hit a great ball. Alexandre Assunção charged in rather forcefully in the 34th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Alexandre Assunção the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After 34 played minutes Vareiros FC got a freekick which was hit by Alexandre Assunção. After 41 played minutes Vareiros FC got a freekick which was hit by Alexandre Assunção. Leonardo Severo fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 44th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Liviu Bădiță having to interfere.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Raimundo Salgado stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Liviu Bădiță showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Joaquim Padilha, who was totally free with the ball in the 55th minute. In the 57th minute of the match S.C. Canidelense got a corner. Vareiros FC's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Liviu Bădiță didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Karhan Siralp went, in the 70th minute, to the upper right corner, 3-0 was the resulting score. Leonardo Severo received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 78th minute. Liviu Bădiță tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 83 minutes into the match, S.C. Canidelense's goalkeeper Kent Tate had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Raimundo Salgado. In the 86th minute Siro Oro shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Kent Tate saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Liviu Bădiță showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from José Blanchart in the 92nd minute of the match. In the 93rd minute Leonardo Severo shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Liviu Bădiță saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line.
