MEXACOMX's Tomás Jordão got a good chance for a goal in the 40th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 42nd minute Giannis Kouretzis shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Aldaír Ferreira saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Giannis Kouretzis received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 44th minute. Aldaír Ferreira tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 47th minute, Aurelian Nicolae hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field.

The wind increased when Vasco Neiva made the kick off in the second half. When Virgílio Valadares came up free with the goalie in the 53rd minute, the AC Guizão fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Virgílio Valadares couldn't finish the play. AC Guizão's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Giannis Kouretzis ran over to the corner to take the kick. The crowd rose to their feet as Fryderyk Gierlach kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Aldaír Ferreira. That made the score 0-8 in the 95 minute of play.
