But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Viktor Nyman couldn't finish the play. Hisingen IK's Einar Jernberg proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 16th minute of the match, managed to save Hisingen IK from getting a goal against them. In the 24th minute, Sören Malmgren hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Olov Lilja showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Elliot Högman in the 47th minute of the match. The Fågelmara IK players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. Hisingen IK were winning 1-3.
When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Viktor Nyman made a kick off. After a rather tough play, Hisingen IK's Mattias Gabrielsson got a free kick in the 53rd minute. In the 54th match minute, Hisingen IK was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Sören Malmgren to maneuver through the defense. After a defensive mix-up in Hisingen IK's zone, Erland Hult stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Einar Jernberg came out of the goal and Erland Hult tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. 59 minutes into the match, Fågelmara IK's goalkeeper Olov Lilja had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Elliot Högman. Aleksander Sjö scored 2-3 in the 60th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Einar Jernberg, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. 68 minutes into the game, Viktor Nyman cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 2-4. Olov Lilja was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Bernt Vennerkvist hit a great freekick 72 minutes into the match. Lars-Erik Esbjörnsson took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 73rd minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Einar Jernberg. Hisingen IK's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. The audience was convinced that Viktor Nyman's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Olov Lilja was relentless in the 74th minute of the game. 76 minutes had been played when some careless play by Fågelmara IK's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner.
