Sergiu Cioacă showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Herman Berggren in the 4th minute of the match. Herman Berggren scored 0-1 in the 4th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Sergiu Cioacă, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Lars Son made a fantastic save in the 8th minute, when Rinaldo Martino sent off a good shot on target. Sergiu Cioacă made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Taylor Chauvet in the 12th minute of play. In the 13th minute, Rick Shaw hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Arsene Wenger Academy's Lars Son played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Rinaldo Martino in the 15th minute of play. 16 minutes into the match, Xkorpions FC's Rinaldo Martino sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Lars Son narrowly saved just below the crossbar. After a defensive mix-up in Arsene Wenger Academy's zone, Rick Shaw stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Lars Son came out of the goal and Rick Shaw tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 24th minute Rinaldo Martino shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Lars Son saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Taylor Chauvet in the 28th minute of play forced Xkorpions FC's goalkeeper Sergiu Cioacă to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Sergiu Cioacă stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Taylor Chauvet's shot from short distance in the 33rd minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Taylor Chauvet in the 35th minute of play forced Xkorpions FC's goalkeeper Sergiu Cioacă to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Lars Son made an important save on a dangerous shot by Rinaldo Martino in the 36th minute. 36 minutes into the match, Rinaldo Martino dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Lars Son, 1-1. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Rinaldo Martino in the 40th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Lars Son saved Arsene Wenger Academy from getting behind. Bart Meekel hit a great freekick 43 minutes into the match. In the 44th minute of the match Herman Berggren sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Sergiu Cioacă skillfully saved the ball. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Tudor Greavu in the 46th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Sergiu Cioacă saved Xkorpions FC from getting behind. Xkorpions FC's Sergiu Cioacă played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Taylor Chauvet in the 47th minute of play. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Rinaldo Martino was the one to do the kick off. Rick Shaw fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 53rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Lars Son having to interfere. Taylor Chauvet who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 55thth minute tested the skills of Sergiu Cioacă when he managed to save the team from getting behind. After 61 minutes, Åke Björk mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Arsene Wenger Academy and the Xkorpions FC players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 62nd match minute, Arsene Wenger Academy was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Åke Björk to maneuver through the defense. Rick Shaw recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 63rd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Xkorpions FC's Sergiu Cioacă proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 66th minute of the match, managed to save Xkorpions FC from getting a goal against them. Taylor Chauvet's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 68thth minute, Sergiu Cioacă skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. Taylor Chauvet in the 68thth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Sergiu Cioacă, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. Sergiu Cioacă made a fantastic save in the 71st minute, when Taylor Chauvet sent off a good shot on target. With a little luck, Xkorpions FC's Sergiu Cioacă got control of the ball when Taylor Chauvet tried to sneak it across the goal line. 73 minutes into the match, Arsene Wenger Academy's goal looked a bit too open when Rinaldo Martino came free, but Lars Son reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After a defensive mix-up in Arsene Wenger Academy's zone, Rinaldo Martino stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Lars Son came out of the goal and Rinaldo Martino tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Xkorpions FC's Jörgen Ekerot was substituted for Rinaldo Martino. 89 minutes into the game, Bart Meekel was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Xkorpions FC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Arsene Wenger Academy the free kick. In the 91st minute of the match, Taylor Chauvet got a very nice opportunity to score, but Sergiu Cioacă was well-placed and pushed the ball away from the goal at the left post. Taylor Chauvet recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 96th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. When the final whistle was heard the away supporters stood up and showed their joy. Arsene Wenger Academy had managed to secure a win in what was a close match throughout.
