The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. After some fancy dribbling in the 3rd minute, Ejvind Haversen managed to get in a good position for a shot. Redbull Sala's supporters rose to their feet, but Ejvind Haversen was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Karl Björk breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. David Lundgren made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Angelino Corderro in the 6th minute of play. After a rather tough play, BraveHearts United's Angelino Corderro got a free kick in the 11th minute. Ejvind Haversen fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 17th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Karl Björk having to interfere. If Ejvind Haversen had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 21st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Jörgen Ström kicked well hit freekick during the 26th minute of the match. After having played for 29 minutes, Marius Brun managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. BraveHearts United's supporters crossed their fingers, but Marius Brun was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 30th minute Marius Brun shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but David Lundgren saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Marius Brun sent away a hard shot on goal in the 35th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. After 40 minutes, Thomas Falkrantz mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Redbull Sala and the BraveHearts United players grew even worse after the yellow card. A collision led to Redbull Sala getting a freekick after 40 minutes play. Thomas Falkrantz hit a great ball. BraveHearts United's Östen Sellberg shoveled away a really nice long shot in the 41st minute of play. The shot was stopped by David Lundgren but with some difficulty. Angelino Corderro hit a great freekick 44 minutes into the match. 46 minutes into the game, Ingemar Lundqvist was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Redbull Sala's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave BraveHearts United the free kick. A collision led to Redbull Sala getting a freekick after 46 minutes play. Ingemar Lundqvist hit a great ball. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

After a defensive mix-up in Redbull Sala's zone, Boris Alkvist stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. David Lundgren came out of the goal and Boris Alkvist tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. 53 minutes had been played when some careless play by BraveHearts United's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Thomas Falkrantz was slow to take the kick. During this time Redbull Sala's players had a chance to rest. Karl Björk made an important save on a dangerous shot by Jörgen Ström in the 55th minute. In the 58th minute, Ejvind Haversen reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Karl Björk. The goal made the score 0-1. Marius Brun received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 62nd minute. David Lundgren tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 64th minute Boris Alkvist shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but David Lundgren saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After a rather tough play, Redbull Sala's Inge Mager got a free kick in the 71st minute. David Lundgren stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Boris Alkvist's shot from short distance in the 72nd minute. Boris Alkvist received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 81st minute. David Lundgren tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere.
