An unexpectedly hard shot by Adam Mårtensson in the 2nd minute of play forced SSC Ambrosini's goalkeeper Aaron Glanselius to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Lidköping's Adam Mårtensson managed to work through SSC Ambrosini's defense and was going for an easy goal, but he hit the shot with his toe and the ball flew outside the goal. Adam Mårtensson dejectedly held out his arms as if to ask why the ball hadn't gone in. The supporters of SSC Ambrosini booed when Lidköping was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 4 match minutes in a wonderful position. Jens-Åke Larsfelt didn't get a good kick on the ball. Kristoffer Västerstrand showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Henrik Möllgren, who was totally free with the ball in the 18th minute. Lidköping's Kristoffer Västerstrand played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Christer Lundin in the 28th minute of play. In the 29th minute of the match SSC Ambrosini got a corner. Lidköping's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Jan Malm ran over to the corner to take the kick. The corner went over the outstretched arms of Lidköping's goalie and right to Christer Lundin. He fired away a shot at goal, but the shot had too much spin, and it went just outside the goal. Lidköping's manager breathed a sigh of relief on the sidelines as his team had managed to escape an almost certain goal. Kristoffer Västerstrand came out of the goal in the 32nd minute to try and stop a shot by SSC Ambrosini's Henrik Möllgren. But to his dismay, Henrik Möllgren quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-1. Lidköping's Kristoffer Västerstrand played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Christer Lundin in the 35th minute of play. 38 minutes into the match, SSC Ambrosini's Henrik Möllgren sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Kristoffer Västerstrand narrowly saved just below the crossbar. In the 44thth minute of the game Henrik Möllgren who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Lidköping's Kristoffer Västerstrand was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Allan Björk could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 45th minute of the match, but Aaron Glanselius made a huge save. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-1 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

After 52 minutes SSC Ambrosini's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Allan Björk who took care of the corner kick. The corner ended in Stefan Bogren almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but SSC Ambrosini's Aaron Glanselius did a great save. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Henrik Möllgren in the 57th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Kristoffer Västerstrand prevented the ball from getting in the gole. 59 minutes into the game, Björn Hage threw the ball into play from the sideline. Lidköping's Jens-Åke Larsfelt quickly snatched the ball and retained possesion. A collision led to Lidköping getting a freekick after 61 minutes play. Jens-Åke Larsfelt hit a great ball. In the 65thth minute of the game Henrik Möllgren who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Lidköping's Kristoffer Västerstrand was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. In the 66th minute of the match SSC Ambrosini got a corner. Lidköping's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Stefan Bogren might have been able to make a better finish in the 69th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Aaron Glanselius. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Stefan Bogren ran back to his position shaking his head. After 75 played minutes SSC Ambrosini got a freekick which was hit by Christer Lundin. Henrik Möllgren could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 78th minute of the match, but Kristoffer Västerstrand made a huge save. A collision led to Lidköping getting a freekick after 79 minutes play. Jens-Åke Larsfelt hit a great ball. In the 92nd minute, Allan Björk hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. When the final whistle was heard the away supporters stood up and showed their joy. SSC Ambrosini had managed to secure a win in what was a close match throughout.
