The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. In the 15th minute Kevin Stålberg shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Candido Bero saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Jan-Åke Nyman in the 19th minute of play forced Samba Fotboll U21's goalkeeper Sam Yang to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 20 minutes into the match, Samba Fotboll U21's goal looked a bit too open when Aleksander Abrahamsson came free, but Sam Yang reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Sam Yang made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Jan-Åke Nyman in the 21st minute of play. Jan-Åke Nyman scored 0-1 in the 25th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Sam Yang, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Candido Bero made an important save on a dangerous shot by Kevin Stålberg in the 29th minute. Samba Fotboll U21's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Ulf Löfkvist in the 30th minute. After taking down the ball on Samba Fotboll U21's corner Ulf Löfkvist fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Candido Bero quite easily take care of the ball. Alstra IF's Candido Bero proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 37th minute of the match, managed to save Alstra IF from getting a goal against them. In the 40th match minute, Alstra IF was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Villiam Benett to maneuver through the defense. Kevin Stålberg sent away a hard shot on goal in the 42nd minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-1 lead.

The audience thought a goal was coming when Aleksander Abrahamsson got free with Sam Yang in the 51st minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. After 54 played minutes Samba Fotboll U21 got a freekick which was hit by Kevin Stålberg. When the match had gone on for 57 minutes, Kevin Stålberg put it in 1-1 from a short distance just to the right of Candido Bero. Leif Hallgren fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 62nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Sam Yang having to interfere. In the 64th minute Eriberto dos Santos shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Sam Yang saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 66 minutes into the match, Samba Fotboll U21's goal looked a bit too open when Aleksander Abrahamsson came free, but Sam Yang reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The supporters of Alstra IF booed when Samba Fotboll U21 was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 68 match minutes in a wonderful position. Konrad Lindkvist didn't get a good kick on the ball. If Aleksander Abrahamsson had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 71st minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. The supporters of Samba Fotboll U21 booed when Alstra IF was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 74 match minutes in a wonderful position. Aleksander Abrahamsson didn't get a good kick on the ball. Jan-Åke Nyman might have been able to make a better finish in the 85th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Sam Yang. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Jan-Åke Nyman ran back to his position shaking his head. In the 87th minute, Osar Fisk got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. A collision led to Samba Fotboll U21 getting a freekick after 90 minutes play. Fredrik Söderberg hit a great ball.
