The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Torgny Arvidsson received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 16th minute. Edmund Haström tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 18 minutes into the match, Southburn City F.C.'s goal looked a bit too open when Sven-Edvin Lindkvist came free, but Edmund Haström reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After 19 minutes Southburn City F.C.'s defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Alexander Nilsson who took care of the corner kick. The corner led Djurgården IF's Alexander Nilsson to fire away a dangerous shot which Edmund Haström despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. Alexander Nilsson hit a great freekick 20 minutes into the match. After 24 minutes, Olaf Segarra made it 1-0 with a short kick to the right side. Djurgården IF's Du Chong Le tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. Southburn City F.C. were awarded a corner in the 30th minute after Djurgården IF's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Jonas Löfkvist took the corner. In the 34th minute the ball was on its way in behind Southburn City F.C.'s goalkeeper Edmund Haström, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. A hard shot 36 in the game by Olaf Segarra from a close distance when the talented Du Chong Le managed to make a qualified save. Djurgården IF's players were relieved. Ove Lindsten hit a great freekick 45 minutes into the match. After fighting hard for a draw in the first half, the players were able to take a much needed rest.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Olaf Segarra made a kick off. In the 54thth minute of the game Olaf Segarra who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Djurgården IF's Du Chong Le was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. When Southburn City F.C.'s Olaf Segarra in the 60th minute got a chance for a shot 60th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. In the 71st minute Sven-Edvin Lindkvist shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Edmund Haström saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Alexander Nilsson sent away a hard shot on goal in the 82nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Eric Dinnes kicked well hit freekick during the 90th minute of the match. After 95 played minutes Southburn City F.C. got a freekick which was hit by Ove Lindsten. The second half was just like the first, even and exciting. The match ended in a draw.
