The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Melker Alefors during the 2nd minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. In the 2nd match minute, IFK Bovall was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Melker Alefors to maneuver through the defense. A collision led to Fulham Broadway FC getting a freekick after 5 minutes play. Göran Abrahamsson hit a great ball. Börje Blomqvist showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Melker Alefors, who was totally free with the ball in the 7th minute. Tony Haström sent away a hard shot on goal in the 8th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Sven-Edvin Unesson in the 13th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Per Fredriksson saved IFK Bovall from getting behind. Börje Blomqvist made an important save on a dangerous shot by Melker Alefors in the 14th minute. When Sven-Edvin Unesson came up free with the goalie in the 20th minute, the Fulham Broadway FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Sven-Edvin Unesson couldn't finish the play. Melker Aleforss short, quick shot in the 22ndth minute got Börje Blomqvist to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. In the 24th minute Sven-Edvin Unesson shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Per Fredriksson saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Per Fredriksson made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Sven-Edvin Unesson in the 29th minute of play. When Fulham Broadway FC's Sven-Edvin Unesson in the 31st minute got a chance for a shot 31st didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. The IFK Bovall fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Per Fredriksson should have stopped the shot. Sven-Edvin Unesson scored 0-2 in the 47th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Per Fredriksson, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. After the first half Fulham Broadway FC were leading 0-2. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

The wind increased when Melker Alefors made the kick off in the second half. Per Fredriksson made an important save on a dangerous shot by Johnny Ahlstedt in the 58th minute. In the 59th minute, Lafi Al Hashash hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Per Fredriksson made an important save on a dangerous shot by Sven-Edvin Unesson in the 59th minute. Johnny Ahlstedt hit a great freekick 62 minutes into the match. Jace Hunter was in a good position and managed to take a shot, but he missed just to the outside of the post. IFK Bovall's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Mauno Laulaja in the 79th minute. Per Fredriksson showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Rudolf Nordstedt, who was totally free with the ball in the 84th minute. After a defensive mix-up in IFK Bovall's zone, Sven-Edvin Unesson stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Per Fredriksson came out of the goal and Sven-Edvin Unesson tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. When the referee blew the final whistle jeers and boos were heard from the home team's supporters. They were angered to see IFK Bovall lose a match they had controlled from the kick-off.
