GAIS's Edvard Björling managed, thanks to a brazen rush, stole the ball on a throw-in made by Jan Källberg in the 3 minute of the game. With a little luck, Hisingstads BK's Tor Holm got control of the ball when Zebastian Rydelius tried to sneak it across the goal line. After 10 minutes Hisingstads BK's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Xamo Navarro who took care of the corner kick. The corner led GAIS's Zebastian Rydelius to fire away a dangerous shot which Tor Holm despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. The attack was good, but when Hjalmar Björck in the 12th minute was about to shoot he didn't kick quite good enough and the ball went high over goal. Zebastian Rydelius came free with the goalkeeper in the 16th minute of the match, and shot straight on target. The shot was a little too simple and Tor Holm could save by the left post. Tor Holm made a fantastic save in the 17th minute, when Konrad Josefsson sent off a good shot on target. Wlodzimierz Cipinski took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Szymon Parzysz, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 20th minute Szymon Parzysz shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Wlodzimierz Cipinski saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The supporters of GAIS booed when Hisingstads BK was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 21 match minutes in a wonderful position. Radim Zadina didn't get a good kick on the ball. When Xamo Navarro came up free with the goalie in the 21st minute, the GAIS fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Xamo Navarro couldn't finish the play. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Anders Kruse in the 26th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Wlodzimierz Cipinski saved GAIS from getting behind. When the match clock showed 26 minutes, the score became 0-1 when Anders Kruse sped through GAIS's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Wlodzimierz Cipinski. The throw-in from Zézinho Vasconcelos in the 37th minute of the game was unfortunally taken care of by GAIS's Konrad Josefsson. Tor Holm made an important save on a dangerous shot by Zebastian Rydelius in the 38th minute. Tor Holm showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Hjalmar Björck, who was totally free with the ball in the 39th minute. 39 minutes into the game, Hjalmar Björck cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 2-1. Tor Holm was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Hisingstads BK's Erik Friberg was substituted for Charlie Kämpe. After 43 played minutes GAIS got a freekick which was hit by Zebastian Rydelius. 46 minutes into the match, Erik Friberg had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Wlodzimierz Cipinski. GAIS's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Erik Friberg was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 2-2.
The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Hjalmar Björck to strike the kick off in the second half. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Amerigo Campoamor during the 51st minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Erik Friberg could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 69th minute of the match, but Wlodzimierz Cipinski made a huge save. Tor Holm made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Konrad Josefsson in the 73rd minute of play. After 75 minutes, Jamie Slegers mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Hisingstads BK and the GAIS players grew even worse after the yellow card. Amerigo Campoamor hit a great freekick 77 minutes into the match. 78 minutes into the match, Hisingstads BK's Zézinho Vasconcelos broke free and took a long shot that unfortunately flew wide. A fine initiative that could have resulted in a goal. In the 79th minute Zebastian Rydelius shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Tor Holm saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. When Hisingstads BK's Martin Palmquist in the 80th minute got a chance for a shot 80th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye GAIS's goalie prevented a goal. 82 minutes into the match, Hisingstads BK's goal looked a bit too open when Hjalmar Björck came free, but Tor Holm reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Wlodzimierz Cipinski made a fantastic save in the 86th minute, when Erik Friberg sent off a good shot on target. Zézinho Vasconcelos's late challenge caught a GAIS's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Zézinho Vasconcelos helped the player get up and apologised. 95 minutes into the game, one of Hisingstads BK:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. The referee gave GAIS a penalty, 96 minutes into the game. The penalty shot was made by Hjalmar Björck, who made a well placed shot into the net to the right of Hisingstads BK's Tor Holm. 3-3.
