The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. With a little luck, cavine-- f.c.'s Cláudio Gomes got control of the ball when Germano Siqueira tried to sneak it across the goal line. 6 minutes into the match, cavine-- f.c.'s goal looked a bit too open when Anaia Barba came free, but Cláudio Gomes reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Guga Tavares made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Mārtiņs Jurkelis in the 10th minute of play. Abel de Lara kicked well hit freekick during the 10th minute of the match. Through an outstanding action, after 13 minutes, Cláudio Gomes successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. An unexpectedly hard shot by Anaia Barba in the 14th minute of play forced cavine-- f.c.'s goalkeeper Cláudio Gomes to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Mārtiņs Jurkelis in the 15th minute of play forced Mexilhão F. C.'s goalkeeper Guga Tavares to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. cavine-- f.c.'s Cláudio Gomes proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 17th minute of the match, managed to save cavine-- f.c. from getting a goal against them. Germano Siqueira could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 19th minute of the match, but Cláudio Gomes made a huge save. When Mārtiņs Jurkelis came up free with the goalie in the 20th minute, the cavine-- f.c. fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Mārtiņs Jurkelis couldn't finish the play. Cláudio Gomes made an important save on a dangerous shot by Germano Siqueira in the 22nd minute. Cláudio Gomes made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Anaia Barba in the 23rd minute of play. The audience thought a goal was coming when Germano Siqueira got free with Cláudio Gomes in the 24th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. After a rather tough play, Mexilhão F. C.'s Abel de Lara got a free kick in the 25th minute. Perivaldo Messias struck a weak shot in the 26th minute. Guga Tavares didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for cavine-- f.c.. Ronaldinho Romero in the 28thth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Cláudio Gomes, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. After 29 minutes of play, Mexilhão F. C.'s Germano Siqueira made it 1-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Cláudio Gomes was left in no man's land by his defense there! Cláudio Gomes stood somewhat misplaced when Germano Siqueira came free in front of goal and shot 2-0 to the left of him in the 31 minute. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Ronaldinho Romero in the 37th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Cláudio Gomes saved cavine-- f.c. from getting behind. Mexilhão F. C.'s attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Germano Siqueira in the 38th minute. The corner went over the outstretched arms of cavine-- f.c.'s goalie and right to Abel de Lara. He fired away a shot at goal, but the shot had too much spin, and it went just outside the goal. cavine-- f.c.'s manager breathed a sigh of relief on the sidelines as his team had managed to escape an almost certain goal. Cláudio Gomes made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Serafino Herena in the 46th minute of play. cavine-- f.c.'s Cláudio Gomes played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Ronaldinho Romero in the 49th minute of play. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 2-0.
The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Anaia Barba to strike the kick off in the second half. Cláudio Gomes took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Anaia Barba, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Cláudio Gomes showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Anaia Barba in the 53rd minute of the match. Cláudio Gomes made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Anaia Barba in the 54th minute of play. Guga Tavares showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Mārtiņs Jurkelis, who was totally free with the ball in the 55th minute. When the match clock showed 57 minutes, the score became 3-0 when Ronaldinho Romero sped through cavine-- f.c.'s defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Cláudio Gomes. 4-0 became the score in the 60th minute when Ronaldinho Romero elegantly shot the ball into goal just under the crossbar. Guga Tavares showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Mārtiņs Jurkelis, who was totally free with the ball in the 65th minute. 68 minutes into the match, Abel de Lara notched a goal, 5-0, to the right of cavine-- f.c.'s Cláudio Gomes. Cláudio Gomes was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. In the 71st minute, Diego Moura hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 75 minutes into the game, Ronaldinho Romero cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 6-0. Cláudio Gomes was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. An unexpectedly hard shot by Ronaldinho Romero in the 80th minute of play forced cavine-- f.c.'s goalkeeper Cláudio Gomes to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Cláudio Gomes showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Anaia Barba in the 83rd minute of the match. In the 83rd minute Anaia Barba shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Cláudio Gomes saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Diego Moura's late challenge caught a Mexilhão F. C.'s player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Diego Moura helped the player get up and apologised. In the 85th minute, Ronaldinho Romero left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Mexilhão F. C. fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 7-0. Cláudio Gomes came out of the goal in the 88th minute to try and stop a shot by Mexilhão F. C.'s Abel de Lara. But to his dismay, Abel de Lara quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 8-0. Cláudio Gomes took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Abel de Lara, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. There were very few away supporters still in the ground by the end of the match. Most of them had left early, disgusted by the way their team had been torn apart. Mexilhão F. C. fully deserved thier win.
