After some fancy dribbling in the 4th minute, Quintana Roo managed to get in a good position for a shot. RIVER y NADA MÁS 09.12.18's supporters rose to their feet, but Quintana Roo was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Levon Sarkisyan breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Grigor Grigoryan who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 8thth minute tested the skills of Su Liang Kun when he managed to save the team from getting behind. Arin Mndoyants blasted a shot towards the goal in the 10th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Su Liang Kun having to make a save. Hu Wei Shu came free with the goalkeeper in the 13th minute of the match, and shot straight on target. The shot was a little too simple and Su Liang Kun could save by the left post. Ariel Rey charged in rather forcefully in the 17th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Ariel Rey the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 17th match minute, RIVER y NADA MÁS 09.12.18 was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Ariel Rey to maneuver through the defense. An unexpectedly hard shot by Arin Mndoyants in the 18th minute of play forced RIVER y NADA MÁS 09.12.18's goalkeeper Su Liang Kun to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 19 minutes into the match, Khachatryan's goal looked a bit too open when Matías Zaracho came free, but Levon Sarkisyan reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Ubaldo Ospin took the ball and in the 20 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Levon Sarkisyan. Levon Sarkisyan dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-1. Hu Wei Shus short, quick shot in the 23rdth minute got Su Liang Kun to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. Su Liang Kun was out of position in the 27 minute of play, and Arin Mndoyants capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Arin Mndoyants really showed his touch with that goal: 2-1. 3-1 became the score in the 33rd minute when Hu Wei Shu elegantly shot the ball into goal just under the crossbar. 37 minutes into the match, Khachatryan's goal looked a bit too open when Quintana Roo came free, but Levon Sarkisyan reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. RIVER y NADA MÁS 09.12.18's Su Liang Kun played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Hu Wei Shu in the 39th minute of play. In the 41st minute, Christiaan Romero hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 3-1 at half-time.
Ariel Rey hit a great freekick 52 minutes into the match. After 53 played minutes, Khachatryan's Hu Wei Shu shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Su Liang Kun came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Khachatryan reached it. Levon Sarkisyan took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Quintana Roo, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Khachatryan's Norbert Guthrie was substituted for Brian McKinney. 59 minutes had been played when some careless play by Khachatryan's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Vladimír Šmicer was slow to take the kick. During this time RIVER y NADA MÁS 09.12.18's players had a chance to rest. A nice corner shot did that Vladimír Šmicer got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Levon Sarkisyan quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. RIVER y NADA MÁS 09.12.18's Octavio Mogel was substituted for Andreas Pirlo. Khachatryan were awarded a corner in the 65th minute after RIVER y NADA MÁS 09.12.18's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Hu Wei Shu took the corner. After taking down the ball on Khachatryan's corner Hu Wei Shu fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Su Liang Kun quite easily take care of the ball. After 71 minutes Khachatryan's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Vladimír Šmicer who took care of the corner kick. Su Liang Kun took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Arin Mndoyants, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The referee felt a red card was in order, 74 minutes into the game, when Bin Baresi put in a rough tackle. RIVER y NADA MÁS 09.12.18's Su Liang Kun played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Hu Wei Shu in the 83rd minute of play. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Hu Wei Shu in the 83rd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Su Liang Kun prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Levon Sarkisyan was out of position in the 85 minute of play, and Bernardo Sá capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Bernardo Sá really showed his touch with that goal: 3-3. Su Liang Kun showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Kurtis Wooten, who was totally free with the ball in the 91st minute. The score was 3-3 after 90 minutes, which forced the match into extra-time.

Berry Phillips's late challenge caught a RIVER y NADA MÁS 09.12.18's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Berry Phillips helped the player get up and apologised. When Khachatryan's Hu Wei Shu in the 109th minute got a chance for a shot 109th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye RIVER y NADA MÁS 09.12.18's goalie prevented a goal. After a rather tough play, RIVER y NADA MÁS 09.12.18's Octavio Mogel got a free kick in the 110th minute. If Kurtis Wooten had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 111th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Levon Sarkisyan came out of the goal in the 113th minute to try and stop a shot by RIVER y NADA MÁS 09.12.18's Bernardo Sá. But to his dismay, Bernardo Sá quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 3-4. The RIVER y NADA MÁS 09.12.18 supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing RIVER y NADA MÁS 09.12.18 would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
