The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. An unexpectedly hard shot by Asiz Soon in the 7th minute of play forced Consejo del Mate's goalkeeper Hugo Orlando Gatti to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Fagildo Pamanes kicked well hit freekick during the 8th minute of the match. Los Muchachos del 86's Atahan Balon played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Bolo Bolaño in the 13th minute of play. 15 minutes into the game, Bolo Bolaño cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-1. Atahan Balon was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. An unexpectedly hard shot by Saverio Brion in the 18th minute of play forced Consejo del Mate's goalkeeper Hugo Orlando Gatti to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Atahan Balon came out of the goal in the 25th minute to try and stop a shot by Consejo del Mate's Bolo Bolaño. But to his dismay, Bolo Bolaño quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-2. Atahan Balon took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Honorato Zambujal, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After 30 minutes of play, Consejo del Mate's Bolo Bolaño made it 0-3 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Atahan Balon was left in no man's land by his defense there! In the 39thth minute of the game Bolo Bolaño who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Los Muchachos del 86's Atahan Balon was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. In the 40th minute Asiz Soon shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Hugo Orlando Gatti saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. A collision led to Consejo del Mate getting a freekick after 41 minutes play. Xove Høj hit a great ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Bolo Bolaño in the 45th minute of play forced Los Muchachos del 86's goalkeeper Atahan Balon to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After a rather tough play, Los Muchachos del 86's Ricardo-Enrique Bochini got a free kick in the 48th minute. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-3 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

The wind increased when Vicente Santana made the kick off in the second half. Vicente Santana who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 54thth minute tested the skills of Atahan Balon when he managed to save the team from getting behind. Atahan Balon made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Bolo Bolaño in the 57th minute of play. After a rather tough play, Consejo del Mate's Ervin Alla got a free kick in the 59th minute. In the 62nd minute the ball was on its way in behind Los Muchachos del 86's goalkeeper Atahan Balon, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Consejo del Mate were awarded a corner in the 63th minute after Los Muchachos del 86's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Fagildo Pamanes took the corner. In the 67th minute Bolo Bolaño shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Atahan Balon saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. A throw-in in the 69th minute of the game was made by Babbis Boukouvalas with Albino Peruanton as target, who quickly passed the ball forward. Hugo Orlando Gatti showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Ricardo-Enrique Bochini, who was totally free with the ball in the 71st minute. After 73 played minutes Los Muchachos del 86 got a freekick which was hit by Babbis Boukouvalas. Los Muchachos del 86 made a substitution. Fabio Bencivenni replaced Ricardo-Enrique Bochini. Babbis Boukouvalas hit a great freekick 74 minutes into the match. Los Muchachos del 86's Atahan Balon proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 77th minute of the match, managed to save Los Muchachos del 86 from getting a goal against them. Consejo del Mate's Danilo Gomesano got a good chance for a goal in the 81st minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Bolo Bolaño's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Atahan Balon read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 84th minute of play. Consejo del Mate were awarded a corner in the 85th minute after Los Muchachos del 86's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Fagildo Pamanes took the corner. In the 86th minute of the match Consejo del Mate got a corner. Los Muchachos del 86's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Fagildo Pamanes ran over to the corner to take the kick. The corner ended in Fagildo Pamanes almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but Los Muchachos del 86's Atahan Balon did a great save. In the 88thth minute of the game Bolo Bolaño who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Los Muchachos del 86's Atahan Balon was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. After having played for 95 minutes, Bolo Bolaño managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Consejo del Mate's supporters crossed their fingers, but Bolo Bolaño was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. The Consejo del Mate supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing Consejo del Mate would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
