In the 30thth minute of the game Kevin Keegan who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Microsoft Team's Décio Barbosa was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Luiz Eduardo Netto received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 32nd minute. Karl-Erik Norström tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Microsoft Team's Décio Barbosa proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 35th minute of the match, managed to save Microsoft Team from getting a goal against them. With a little luck, Microsoft Team's Décio Barbosa got control of the ball when Chen Ao Fan tried to sneak it across the goal line. In the 47th minute, Knut Rudberg left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Skövde AIK fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 4-0. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 4-0 at half-time.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Kurt Hamrin was the one to do the kick off. Kevin Keegan hit a great freekick 52 minutes into the match. Décio Barbosa showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Kevin Keegan in the 56th minute of the match. But to his dismay, Chen Ao Fan quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 5-0. 63 minutes into the match, Kevin Keegan had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Décio Barbosa. Microsoft Team's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Kevin Keegan was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 6-0. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Kurt Hamrin in the 66th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Décio Barbosa saved Microsoft Team from getting behind. The supporters of Skövde AIK booed when Microsoft Team was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 66 match minutes in a wonderful position. Amílton Matos didn't get a good kick on the ball. When the match clock showed 68 minutes, the score became 7-0 when Kevin Keegan sped through Microsoft Team's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Décio Barbosa. An unexpectedly hard shot by Kevin Keegan in the 76th minute of play forced Microsoft Team's goalkeeper Décio Barbosa to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball.
