Errecaborda AFC were awarded a corner in the 14th minute after Lobos de Carelia's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Emílio Terra took the corner. Adolfo Gombal received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 46th minute. Edmond Verdun tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-1 lead.

In the 50th minute Emílio Terra shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Feliberto Ipar saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Lobos de Carelia's Feliberto Ipar played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Joe Tate in the 51st minute of play. After a rather tough play, Lobos de Carelia's Eusebio Rios got a free kick in the 56th minute. Feliberto Ipar took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Emílio Terra, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side.
